LTG'S MESSAGE

Letter From From The The Letter

LTG

Hey, Narwhals! What's swimmin?! I haven't officially introduced myself to you all! My name is Michelle Le and I am currently a sophomore at Moorpark High School! On my free time, I love to get on my creative side like photography, recording my adventures, bullet journaling and more! I also like various types of music! It's already been a month since my term as LTG started and it's crazy to think about, but it's time to get back to business! I hope every one of you by the end of this term gets to achieve the goals that you have set during this time! THIS is the time to recruit all the members to your club, THIS is the time your club raises the most in history for PTP, THIS is the time your club gets the most service hours! BEE a leader! Help make Key Club known for everyone and show how amazing it is! It's your opportunity to take this time to shine and just keep swimming! A couple of goals I have this term is raising $4,000 for PTP, 7,000 service hours, and 575 dues paid members! I also want all 9 clubs to be active and reach its highest peak! I know we are capable of doing this even though the numbers seem unreachable. I believe that we can reach our fullest potential! We already have 235 service hours, and we just need to keep going! It's never too early to raise money for PTP, so start getting towards those goals!

Swimming in service,

Michelle Le

OOF HELLO! My names Eliel. I’m your divisions 1/2 head spirit coordinator 2018-2019 and I go to Santa Susana high school. I’m currently a junior and extremely excited and nervous for senior year. I was one of your past spirit coordinators with KC and I’m excited to meet new and old faces! I don’t know where to start but I’m quite loud (sometimes), full of energy, and always trying to find new things to eat! HMU if you want to get boba! Other than food, I love to create art, sing, play instruments or just Jam out. So don’t be scared to talk to me at DCM’s and events cause I’m quite a small approachable little bean who wants to SNATCH the spirit stick at Fall Rally with you all. I HOPE TO HAVE A GREAT YEAR AND DON’T FORGET TO GIVE IT YOUR ALL NARWHALS!

yooo! my name’s kristine ly and i’m super excited to be your service coordinator! currently i am a sophomore at santa susana high school (dont let my height fool you, i swear im not 12 LOL) i love making films and making others laugh! i also love listening to music (heh kpop), drinking boba, spreading quality™ memes, and looking at cute puppy photos. don’t be afraid to hmu cause i would love to meet you and hopefully tell you more about myself! im extremely stoked to be a part of this team and look forward to this next term with all of y’all! GO D42E WOOO ! Hiya, my name is Tiffany, and I'm a freshie from Royal High School! I'm on the track team and I love it, even though I'm not very good. I love reading (mainly anything but nonfiction đ&#x;˜ˇ), Netflixing, baking, SLEEEEEPING, and eating. Not having a life is amazing, contrary to most beliefs. I'm one of those people that have a mean resting face, but I'm not mean without a reason. Once you get to know me, you'll notice that sometimes I'm bouncing off the walls, and other times I'm super serious. I can also sometimes be a bit of a perfectionist. I'm getting increasingly excited for this coming year!

Hi my name is Tiana Mastrella and I am super excited to serve as the Kiwanis Family Chair this term! I am currently Tiana a junior at westlake high school. I love key club, drinking boba, girl scouts, watching netflix, and hanging out with Mastrella my dog. I look forward to making this year amazing, meeting all of you at the DCMs (please come say hi if we've never talked before!) and winning the spirit stick at fall rally!! Go narwhals!!

CLUB RECAP

Junior Olympics

Add a little bit of body text

In order the upkeep the annual Junior Olympics at Royal, many Key Club members answered the call and went to volunteer at the event. In the picture, Josh Jiwanmall and Bryant Ly are cooking up some soft pretzels to serve hungry athletes. Other Key Club members went on to work as security guards, snack bar operators, and runners for various supplies that were needed in order to run the event. Jordan Ng Royal | Editor

CLUB RECAP

Dog Toy Making

On Apr. 24, 2018, Oak Park Key Club had an in-school service project and made dog toys for Shelter Hope. We cut up donated T-shirts and braided them so the toys wouldn't fall apart so easily (since we all know the vigor in which dogs play with toys and the typical speed in which they can be broken.) Every attendee to the meeting made at least 1, most making 2-3, toys. Making these toys is super fun and relaxing and I definitely would recommend this for a future service event for anyone interested! Amanda Lurey Oak Park | President
