Letter from the Lt.Governor Hello, narwhals! It’s still summer time, but still Key Club time! I encourage you all to keep attending division wide-events such as Fl-OTC (Officers Training Conference) and the upcoming August DCM. Make this summer YOUR Key Club moment! Make this the summer for FRIENDS, SERVICE, and FUN! Let’s keep it up narwhals and keep STRIVING to reach our service and fundraising goals :) Summer can be a difficult transition period for some incoming freshmen so I encourage you to invite them to Key Club events! Be their friend and give them a taste of how sweet a Key Club memory can be!! Swimming in Service, Sasha Avakyan

Letter from the News Editor Hello, my mighty narwhals! My name is Athena and I am your new Division News Editor (DNE). I hope that each of you look forward to my future newsletters as well and thank you so much for reading this one (or stumbling across it)! I hope everyone has had a fantastic summer! School is starting this month and I hope we can all comfortably settle into our new year with high hopes and encouraging thoughts. Also, make sure to encourage not just yourself but those around you as well. And, as always, keep doing deeds, volunteering, and spreading the Key Club spirit as you move forward!! Your Fellow Narwhal, Athena Cruz-Albrecht

DLT Introduction Welcome Your 2019-2020 Division Board!!

Executive Assistant: Carter Kawaguchi wHat’S bUzZin cNh bEeS?! My name is Carter Kawaguchi and I serve as your Secretary-Executive Assistant for the 2019-2020 term and NPHS Key Club’s Vice President. Now that I have gotten that out of the way, as said earlier, I’m Carter and I am a soon to be sophomore with a lot of IB and AP classes (and crying and caffeine pills) ahead of me.sIn my spare time I love photography, techy stuff, videography, Youtube, playing instruments (one of 6 of them), buying too many shoes and sweatshirts (#i<3crocs), swimming (as a sport not a pastime), not seeing color, some graphic design, drowning in boba (coffee milk tea 10/10), and music. For music, I mainly listen to EDM, Rap/R&B, and… oh yeah, KPOP. If you like Kpop, we can instantly be friends :). I have been involved with the Kiwanis family since 5th grade and loved every part of it. I’m now ready to help this amazing family by taking on bigger roles (cough cough Carter Kawaguchi for unspecified future positions ;)) and doing all I can for all of us Key Clurbers (no, that is not a typo). I look forward to serving D42E for this term and growing as a leader and a person!

DLT Introduction Executive Assistant: Mindy Nguyen WASSUP NARWHALS! Most of you may not know me, so let me introduce myself. I am Mindy Nguyen and I am your 2019-2020 Communication-Executive Assistant. I am going to be a Sophomore soon at Moorpark High School, so I am pretty young *Cough Cough… not really*. Basketball is my passion, but I ain’t the best, so don’t come asking me to play you one on one. Along with basketball, I love tennis and dance. I am a Kpop fan, but I ain’t no koreaboo. I like any light blues or pinks, but my ultimate favorite colors are black and white. I would choose to eat asian food over anything. I promise that I am very friendly, so don’t be afraid to come up to me during Key Club events. Ever since I joined Key Club, it has been such an important thing to me. My goal is to become LTG, so being chosen as EA was a very important KEY to my goal. I hope to become friends with most of you and I can’t wait to see what this year will become. This year will get pretty NAR-LY, but hopefully the rest of the DLT and I will take care of it. `

DLT Introduction Spirit Coordinator: Likhitha Yettela Hello, hello, hello, my fellow narwhals! My name is Likhitha Yettela and I will be your head spirit coordinator for the next term! Next year, I will be a senior at SSHS! I have been in Key Club since freshman year and everyday I regret this decision (just kidding Sasha please don’t murder me). I really love this division and all the amazing, spirited people I have met along the way! When I’m not dying from school, I love listening to music, playing the cello, taking pictures and watching wayyy too many dramas (please hmu with some recommendations). If you ever see me at an event, please say hello! I hope to meet you guys soon!

DLT Introduction Division News Editor: Athena Cruz-Albrecht What’s up, Narwhal Nation? My name is Athena and I’m hella excited to be your News Editor for this year! I’m a senior at Oak Park High School and when I’m not studying or volunteering I love to go to the beach, go on hikes, or peacefully knit or crochet at home with a steaming cup of tea. I also love running and so of course I’m in Cross Country and Track & Field. Some of my goals for life are to travel to at least twenty different countries, be fluent in three other languages (Spanish, Korean, and Dutch--help me if you can please haha), and simply be happy and have a positive influence on this world. For this last goal, Key Club is really the place to be! I can’t wait to meet all of you throughout the coming year (hit me up whenever!) and together continue the beautiful traditions of our Key Club family. Go Narwhals!!

DLT Introduction Division Photographer: Tiffanny Kha Hey Narwhals, I'm back again! My name is Tiffany Kha, and I am your new D42E historian! I attend Royal High School as an incoming junior, and I am on the track team for my soon-to-be third year (but I'm still terrible lol). In my free time (which will be nonexistent this year), I love to read, bake, eat, and sleep. I like photography, but honestly, I'm not so great at it. However, I am still trying my best to take nice photos. I greatly look forward to meeting everyone this year!! Just look for the Asian holding the camera at events lol. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or if you just wanna talk!
