Personal Growth and Resiliency (G Level) Training (Replaces Army Family Team Building Level II Training Classes) Participants will continue and learn skills in effective communication, gain personal growth and development, evaluate problem solving strategies, and generate effective solutions in their personal and professional lives. This class will help the learner to develop and maintain healthy personal relationships and identify the benefits of being a supportive group member. 28-29 April, 0900-1700, Camp Henry ACS Classroom Consular Services Outreach - in Daegu U.S. citizens can apply for U.S. passports, additional visa pages in their current passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad, and Social Security cards. A consular officer will also offer notarial services and provide information regarding voting, federal benefits, and registration with the Embassy. The consular staff is also available to assist with emergencies involving U.S. citizens. NOTE: These services are for those with base access ONLY and on a walk-in basis. No appointment necessary. Every Tuesday & Friday, 1200-1300, Camp Henry ACS Classroom Craft Class - Hanji This class is for the beginner: Participants will make a small project with precut hardboard and colored Hanji. Also, learn how to make rice glue that will be used on the Hanji craft. Recipe Exchange The recipe exchange, held once a month in the ACS kitchen, serves as a way for military spouses to come together and share food ideas either from what they have learned or from their culture. S-998) / 765-7900 Dakjongi Doll Making Class Dakjongi Doll class, a beautiful Korean art, consists of students making the frame of their dolls and wrapping them with Korean hanji paper until the shape and design of their dolls are complete. The class is designed for students who want to experience Korean culture and art with a brief historical explanation of the art and what each chosen design means in Korean culture. Classes are held over a period of 12 weeks. Trip to Daegu Apsan Park “Frogs & Tadpoles” Carpool trip – we need willing drivers Please join us for a carpool trip (we need willing drivers) to Apsan Park where we will explore the park and hunt for frogs and tadpoles. Please wear clothes and shoes that can get messy and if your child is the type to “accidently” get wet, perhaps a change of clothes should be brought. There are nice picnic spots in the park so if you want to stay by yourself to picnic or hike bring a lunch or won for the cable car. It’s a great alternative if you want t keep your kids busy and in a supervised program. Power Hour: Monday - Thursday Power Hour is dedicated quiet time for children to work on homework together or independently. We also have staff who assist the students with their homework needs. Movie Madness: Tuesdays & Thursdays This is an opportunity for small groups of children to get together with their friends and watch a movie from our movie library. 4-H Fridays Each SAC child is a member of a 4-H club. This is a chance for our children to learn new skills, develop new interest and grow their leadership abilities. Book Club will be starting another new book. It’s exciting to see these young folks taking initiative an joining these beneficial clubs. No Screen Wednesdays Every Wednesday all compute equipment is turned off.
