Bulguksa Temple is the representative relic of Gyeongju and was designated as a World Cultural Asset by UNESCO in 1995. The beauty of the temple itself and the artistic touch of the stone relics are known throughout the world. Bulguksa Temple was built in 528 during the Silla Kingdom, in the 15th year of King Beop-Heung's reign (514-540). The temple was originally called ‘Hwaeom Bulguksa Temple’ or ‘Beopryusa Temple’ and was rebuilt by Kim Dae-Seong (700-774). Kim started rebuilding the temple in 751 during the reign of King Gyeong-Deok (in power 742-765) and completed it in 774 during the reign of King Hye-Gong (in power 765-780). Upon completion, the temple’s name was changed to ‘Bulguksa’. Gyeongju National Museum is steeped in tradition. Representing Gyeongju, which was the capital city of the Silla Kingdom (BC57~AD935), the museum is where you can view the cultural history of Gyeongju district. Exhibits are divided into 4 large areas: Main Hall, Annex I, Annex II, and the Outdoor Exhibit Area

Pool Rules are for Your Health and Safety The USAG Daegu Aquatics staff are on task to ensure we maintain a clean, healthy, and safe swimming environment for all patrons who utilize the Camp Walker Aquatics Center and the Camp Carroll Aquatics Center. Please help us maintain clean and healthy swimming environments and minimize the chance of closure due to health reasons by following some of these simple steps when you visit the Camp Walker or Camp Carroll Aquatics Centers:
Please remove your shoes before going on to the pool deck Please wear proper swimming attire Please put long hair (shoulder length or longer when wet) into a hair elastic or swim cap Please shower before entering the pool Please only bring water in a clear plastic bottle into the pool area. No other food or drinks are allowed in the pool area. Children and youth age 12 years and younger must be with a parent or adult guardian. Youth age 13 years and over can use the facility without parent supervision. Jacuzzi usage: Children and youth 12 years and younger may not use the Jacuzzi at any time. Wading pool usage: Children age 6 years old and younger are allowed in the wading pool. Locker rooms, toilet areas, and shower areas: children of kindergarten age and older must use gender-appropriate facilities. Flotation Devices: Army policy AR 215-1, 8-28.c.(6)(a), which states: “The following guidelines apply to flotation aides, toys, and aquatic equipment in swimming pools only: (a) Properly fitting U.S. coast Guard approved personal flotation devices, types I, Ii, or III, are allowed during open recreation swim periods”. To clarify, devices that can be blow up or “inflated”, are by definition “toys”, and are clearly marked on the specific devices as “toys”. These are not are not life saving devices, which is also marked on the outside of the device, and are therefore, not classified as Coast Guard approved flotation devices.
The rules and regulations are there for everyone’s safety and they are standard and in accordance with policies set forth through Army Regulation, Technical Bulletins, Federal Regulation, etc. Your consideration is appreciated. -Your USAG Daegu Aquatics Team!

Why it pays to SWIPE Your SWIPE Counts Family and MWR Programs use secure online technologies at many of the Army facilities you use every day. You can support your local MWR with a simple SWIPE of your ID Card. Many recreation centers, fitness centers and other MWR locations at your garrison participate in the SWIPE program. Look for a kiosk or scanner at the entrance to one of these facilities. By swiping your CAC card (or other form of identification if appropriate), you’re giving us valuable information to support improved access to services, expand program offerings and make facilities better.
SWIPE is:
Smart- Help determine which programs and services you want. Worldwide- Ensure quality of life programs and services are available worldwide. Interactive- We depend on your input to identify where we can make improvements. Promise- Help MWR fulfill our promise to provide you with quality programs and services. Enhancements- You have the power to make our services and programs even better. 68 FMWR Outlook
