Temple Stay Participants will spend two days and one night at a traditional Korean Temple. Experience the daily life and routines of the monks who reside at the temple along with learning the history and background of the temple itself. Korean Language Class (Advanced) Helps develop Korean speaking skills with an entire class devoted to speaking only in Korean, and focusing mainly on sentence structures. This class is for those who have advanced from the basic and intermediate classes. Classes are held once a week over the span of 8 weeks or more as needed. Every Tuesday, 0900 – 1600, Camp Carroll ACS Financial Readiness Room KN Military Communication Service Classes are held to help any Korean military or civilian personnel employed by the U.S. Army who wants or needs to improve their English speaking abilities. Through learning pronunciation, sentence structure, and conversation, students are helped to achieve better English speaking abilities and to better communicate with Americans. ACS, Camp Carroll (Bldg. S-998 / 765-7900) Dakjongi Craft Class This is continuing class from October. In this course we’ll learn more tasks with bleached Dakjongi to make a final project. Students will also choose and cut out a moon-yang (Chinese letters or seals) that will be placed in certain locations on the frame. The class is designed for students to experience the beautiful Korean art of Hanji along with a brief explanation of the history. Stop by and Visit Our Center CYS Services and especially School Age Care is excited about what's happening in our building. Not only do we have some great afterschool programs going on Like: Lego Club, Book Club and 4-H Fridays; we also have our daily activities such as science experiments, arts and crafts, arcade time and POWER HOUR (homework/tutoring 1500-1600 daily Monday-Thursday). The center will undergo some minor renovations. The wooden porch is being demolished, the roof will be replace, we will be repainting the interior of the building and up-dating our kitchen. We have also purchased several new pieces of classroom furniture, and heaps of new supplies. We will do our best to not allow all of this excitement to interrupt our daily operation, but please bear with us as we go through these changes. Our hours of operation will not be affected.
