T-1103) / 768-7112 Early Pregnancy Class for expecting mothers and fathers - teaches what to expect in the early stage. 6 June, 1300-1500, ACS Classroom Mandatory Commander/SNCO Family Advocacy Program Briefing Meets initial and annual refresher requirements. 6 & 20 June, 0930-1100, ACS Classroom DSI (Domestic Situation Inventory) The DSI is designed to help and explore the relationship with your partner, your current home situation, and your feelings about them. The class can help you identify signs of unhealthy relationships and, if these signs exist, options to be considered. The DSI consists of 155 statements that are applicable to everyone's relationship situation. By scoring and counting the number of statements, you will be able to understand your responses and can find recommendations/steps to alter or improve your situation. 13 June, 1300–1430 ACS Classroom Newcomers Subway Tour: 15 June, 0915-1530, Walker Lodge, Camp Walker Sponsorship Training Become a qualified sponsor or spouse sponsor, and learn the ins and outs of sponsorship in Area IV. Qualified sponsors are vital to the successful reception of incoming Soldiers. To be an effective sponsor, you must know what is expected of you and where to find the information incoming Soldiers are likely to request. All this information is provided monthly during Sponsorship Training at Camp Henry ACS. Here you will learn how to effectively network for success, which might potentially lead to an interview or straight to a JOB! Attendees will also have a golden opportunity to network with several employer delegates on the following day at the USAG Daegu Employer Assistance Panel. 26 June, 1500–1630, ACS Classroom USAG DAEGU Employer Assistance Panel The USAG Daegu Army Community Service (ACS), in partnership with the Army Career Alumni Program (ACAP), will host the Employer Assistance Panels for military spouses and separating military members to become educated on what employers are looking for in potential candidates for hiring in the private/federal sector. Participants who attend the event are given an opportunity for a Q and A session after the employer delegates speak and deliver a presentation on behalf of their companies. Attendees will be provided with a break-out session to network and interact with the employer delegates. All participants must take water safety briefing on 25 June. 26 June, 1100-1600, Obong Lake English as a Second Language Class (ESL Class) ESL classes are aimed at helping foreign born service members and spouses develop their English language skills with the help of sentence structures and conversation. Every Monday, 1000-1130, ACS Conference Room Korean Language Class (Advanced) Helps develop Korean speaking skills with an entire class devoted to only speaking Korean and focusing mainly on sentence structures. This class is for those who have advanced from the basic and intermediate classes. Classes are held once a week over the span of 8 weeks or more as needed. Every Monday, 1400-1530, ACS Conference Room KN Military Communication Service Classes are held to help any Korean military or civilian personnel employed by the U.S. Army who wants or needs to improve their English speaking abilities. Through learning pronunciation, sentence structures, and conversation, students are helped to develop better English speaking abilities and to better communicate with American personnel. Summer Camp 2013 – Around the World! It's time to make plans for summer. School Age Care wants to be a part of your child summer. Our activities this year will include arts and crafts, water games, large group games and small group games, cooking clubs, field trips, bowling, movie days, sing along, story times and academic hour. As you can see, we have several exciting themes this year and our activities and field trips will be planned around the themes.
Registration: Priority registration will be given to currently enrolled SAC children. May 13, 2013- Enrollment for SAC children begins June 03, 2013- Enrollment for all other eligible participants Space is subject to availability. Once all spaces are filled, a waiting list will be generated for each week. To register for summer camp, your child MUST first be registered with Parent Central (building #257, Camp Walker, 764-5298). You may NOT register for summer camp if your child's file is incomplete.

Every Wednesday No Screens Wednesday This is a great time for the children to give-up their electronics.
