Meets initial and annual refresher requirements. 5 & 19 March, 1400-1500, ACS Classroom Dealing with your Attention Deficient Hyper-Activity Disorder (ADHD) Child The group meets to discuss situations they encounter with their Children and offers them an opportunity to share coping strategies. This is a time for parents to get together and share their experiences, hoping to pick up new ideas or suggested ways to better serve their special needs child. 7 March, 1000-1130, ACS Conference room Early Pregnancy : Class for expecting mothers and fathers - teaches what to expect about the early stages of pregnancy. 7 March, 1330-1530, ACS Classroom Sponsorship Training Become a qualified Sponsor or Spouse Sponsor, and learn the ins and outs of sponsorship in Area IV. Qualified Sponsors are vital to the successful reception of incoming Soldiers. It can help you identify signs of unhealthy relationships and, if these signs exist, options that can be considered. The DSI consists of 155 statements that are applicable to everyone's relationship situation. By scoring and counting the numbers of statements, you will be able to understand your responses and you will find recommendations/steps to take, to alter, or to improve your situation. 19 March, 1300-1400 ACS Classroom Anger & Stress Management Class Teaches participants to identify when they are angry, develop management strategies for dealing with their anger/stress, and express their feelings more appropriately. Gives techniques on how to turn a negative into a positive and make it easier to cope with stress. 20 March, 0930-1100, ACS Conference Room USAG Daegu Employer Assistance Panel The USAG Daegu Army Community Service (ACS), in partnership with the Army Career Alumni Program (ACAP), proudly presents the USAG Daegu Employer Assistance Panel for military spouses and transitioning military members to become educated on what employers are looking for in potential candidates for hiring in the private/federal sector. Attendees who plan to attend the event will be given an opportunity for a Qand-A session after the employer delegates speak on behalf of their companies. Each delegate will be allotted time to speak, and there will be a break-out session for jobseekers to interact with the employers. This class is for those who have advanced from the basic and intermediate classes. Intermediate Korean language Class The intermediate Korean class is for students who have advanced from the basic Korean class. S-998 / 765-7900) English as a Second Language (ESL) Class ESL classes are aimed at helping foreign born service members and spouses develop their English language skills with the help of sentence structures and conversation. Every Monday, 1000-1130, ACS Conference Room Dakjongi Doll Class Dakjongi Doll classes, a beautiful Korean art, consists of students making the frame of their dolls and wrapping them with Korean hanji paper until the shape and design of their dolls are complete. The class is designed for students to experience Korean culture and art with a brief historical explanation of the art and what each chosen design means in Korean culture. Classes are held over a period of 12 weeks. Every Monday, 1000-1130, ACS Training Room Korean Language Class (Advanced) Helps develop Korean speaking skills with an entire class devoted to only speaking Korean and focusing mainly on sentence structures. This class is for those who have advanced from the basic and intermediate classes. Classes are held once a week over the span of 8 weeks or more as needed. Every Monday, 1400-1530, ACS Conference Room KN Military Communication Service Classes are held to help any Korean military or civilian personnel employed by the U.S. Army who wants or needs to improve their English speaking abilities. Through learning pronunciation, sentence structures, and conversation, students are helped to develop better English speaking abilities and to better communicate with American personnel. Classes are held twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays. Tuesday, 1000-1130am and Friday, 1330-1500, ACS Training Room Computer Class Computer classes are designed to help students master the Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Power Point. Students learn the different techniques used in quilting and work on a small project.
