Along the way we will share with you how to purchase subway cards and tokens, navigate and ride both subway lines and the monorail, explore Seomun Market and the downtown area including Dongseongno, the busiest street of downtown Daegu. Explore some of Daegu’s famous alleys such as Yasigolmok Alley, Gyoding Market Food Alley, Gyodong Market Electric Device Alley and Coffee Shop Alley, and learn how to return to Camp Walker on the subway. Please bring won for the subway, food and shopping. The adventure begins after the Camp Carroll bus arrives at Camp Walker Lodge. No pets are allowed on this tour. Waegwan Cultural Walking Experience! Saturday, 28 October Camp Carroll CAC / 765-8325

Waegwan Dabu-dong, Victory Monument

Explore the fascinating historical landmarks, the rich environmental history and the interesting cultural history that is Waegwan. Our walking experience will begin in front of the Carroll CAC at 1100.

We will walk along the streets outside gate 4, climb the path to the monument on top of Hill 303 and explore the city market where you will be able to purchase local seasonal produce. Then we will go to the train station to learn how to use the train, bus and KTX systems. Along our journey we will visit historical landmarks and learn about the points of interest in Waegwan. Our walking journey will end at Camp Carroll at 1500. Please bring water, wear comfortable shoes and have money for food, shopping and the bus. Cost for the afternoon is $5.
