on the cover...
We threw it back a few years for the cover after seeing that the Michigan Holstein Association has had a publication for more than seven decades. Originally called Holstein Michigander, we decided to honor that longevity with a cover from 1949. In those days Carnation Perfection Triumph and Montvic Rag Apple Chief were popular sires, linebreeding was a good thing and a high production average was 13,000 lbs of milk. We welcome Indiana breeders again this year with a subscription to the magazine and thank them for their advertising support. This issue is filled with sale ads, annual meeting activities and spring and summer show info. Have a great and productive spring!
