Jersey Cattle Club ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES

February 11, 2023, Mt. Pleasant, MI

Meeting was called to order at 10:20 am by President Beth Rupprecht.

Beth noted that the call to meeting notice was printed in the winter MDCN.

2022 Annual meeting minutes were printed in booklet. Motion made by Drew Rupprecht and supported by Malissa Reed to accept minutes as presented. Motion passed.

Financial report was printed in the booklet. Motion made by Drew Rupprecht and supported by Tom Atherton to accept the financials as presented, motion passed.

Beth thanked MJCC members Tim Place, Brent Moyer, Lauren Siver and Nicole Vanderploeg for their help at the spring and summer shows.

Membership Report

Michigan

Allison Schafer resigned from her Vice-President position effective January 1, 2023.

Lauren Siver was nominated for Vice-President. Tom Atherton moved to close nominations and vote by unanimous ballot, supported and passed.

The following were nominated for Directors (need to fill 4 director seats)

De Buell, Paul Meyer, Drew Rupprecht, Ethan Haywood.

Drew moved to close nominations and vote by unanimous ballot, supported by Malissa Reed and passed.

Beth introduced Greg Lavan from AJCA who provided an update.

Highlights from his update included reminders that embryo/IVF have to be trans- ferred and there has been issues with private sales not sending in transfers. Jersey Journal is looking into a print on demand only (Journal will be available online).

Beth provided an update from the MJCC board. After much discussion on the possibility of joining in with MHA, they are going to continue to operate as their own entity at this time.

The board voted to ask Carrie Delong to be their Executive Secretary of which she agreed.

Beth thanked the membership that consigned animals to the online sale as there was great representation from Jersey breeders.

Meeting was adjourned at 10:38 am.
