New Genetic Offerings From Holstein Marketplace Sires

“By breeders, for breeders” is more than just a slogan for Holstein Marketplace Sires. It encompasses what the program stands for – keeping Registered Holstein breeders at the heart. Holstein Marketplace Sires aims to provide breeders with a way to easily share genetics from their bulls with other producers nationwide.

Marketplace Sires highlights a diverse lineup of elite bulls for high GTPI, balanced type, and increased components, who trace back to strong cow families. The program aims to provide superior genetics while simultaneously showcasing the phenomenal breeders they come from and providing them with a way to retain full ownership of their animals.

Holstein Marketplace Sires has recently added two new genetic options to their lineup, including 712HO01020 Genosource Gameday Hype-ET. Hype comes from an all-star maternal line including Miss America, Shauna, and Missy, and is +3021 for GTPI, +1080 for NM, +1531 for M, and +175 for CFP.

“Hype is an elite sire for production and components, while having exceptional type and udders and maintaining adequate frame size. He has an exciting sire stack and a full pedigree that directs back to the Rudolph Missy family,” shares bull owner Jeff Jauquet of Jauquet Holsteins Dairy in Pulaski, Wisconsin.

Another bull in the lineup is 712HO01019 K-Star AftermathET, owned by a long-time Holstein Association USA Herd of Excellence, Koester Dairy Inc., in Dakota, Illinois. Aftermath boasts stats of +2992 GTPI, +100 F, +55 P, +902 M +0.4 DPR with tremendous type at +1.84 PTAT and +1.95 UDC backed by 10 generations of VG or EX!

The Koester family notes, “Aftermath is a great udder improver with a modern sire stack, super components, positive DPR, and moderate frame. The first three maternal dams behind Aftermath have all been stars in our herd, not only classifying great but rising to the top of our herd for their fat and protein production!”
