The Designers Republic
Ian Anderson from The Designers Republic created an entry competition to get into his workshop. Creating something, no matter what it is, something that Ian will want to keep. The brief itself lead me to send him an illustration of himself, which was most appropriate for him and what he would be interested in, using the colours for Sheffield United as the background as it is the team he supports.

Pointless Task
The workshop includes an hour of a pointless task, then document and present is. The pointless task chosen was to stick pieces of masking tape onto blocks on the wall for an hour. Causing blisters and a waste of masking tape, also more time wasted by taking all the masking tape back down. This was successfully a pointless task, and was documented throughout by taking pictures and recording how much masking tape has been used.

Presentation
The presentation was the main outcome of the workshop, displaying the story of how the pointless task went and the outcome from it. Showing how much masking tape was used in more of an interesting way, using real people in the workshop to demonstrate it. Doing these presentations proved that there is no such thing as a pointless task as everyone created an interesting outcome from it, which wouldn’t have happened without the pointless task itself.
