Russian Grand Ballet Brings to Texas “Ballet of All Ballets” Petr Ilyich Chaykovsky is a famous Russian composer, loved in the United States. His 1875 “Swan Lake” ballet, based on both Russian folklore and German legend, is among only a handful of ballets recognized by most Americans. By Serge Taran/ Photo by Serge Taran, Russian Grand Ballet For third year in row, the Russian Grand Ballet brings to Texas this “ballet of all ballets” as a part of their North American tour. The Russian Grand Ballet will present the so-called “St. Petersburg version”, which features choreography, originally set by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov in the late 19th century. Contemporary adaptations of the play are by award-winning ballet master/choreographer Andrey Litvinov. The October 2017 tour of the Russian Grand Ballet to Texas is different from all previous years. The Ballet has gained the respect and recognition it deserves from both Dallas and Houston audience; and this year it will reach new audiences in Mcallen, Midland, and El Paso too. Texas theatergoers will see the stars of the best choreographic schools of Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Kiev. An international flavor is added by the finest ballet dancers from Ukraine, Armenia, and Russia. “Swan Lake” is a combination of pure romanticism, a fairy tale about love and deception. At the same time, it is a play, full of tech-
nical and dramatic challenges. Konstantin Pinchuk, Artistic Director of Russian Grand Ballet, shared, "Dancing the lead in 'Swan Lake' is like climbing Mount Everest, or playing the role of Hamlet on a stage. The principal dances are the Black Swan and the White Swan dances. Both birds change from swan to human, fall in love, and get tricked and jilted.” The Jewel of the “Swan Lake” version
by the Russian Grand Ballet is a rarely seen “Waltz of the Black Swans.” The Swan Queen is danced by Prima ballerina Olga Kifyak. Praising the technical virtuosity of Prima, The Boston Globe states, “Olga Kifyak’s “32 fouettes is unexceptionable.”
Amazing Ballet Facts 1. A male dancer lifts over 1-1/2 tons worth of ballerinas during performances.
better, and baseball pitchers use to improve their grip on the ball.
2. Most ballerinas wear out 2-3 pairs of pointe shoes per week. One tutu costs up to $3,000 to make.
7. Ballet began in Paris, France in 1661. It traveled from there to Italy and Russia, where ballet masters continued to teach and improve upon ballet's methods.
3. The same tutu requires 60-90 hours of labor and over 100 yards of ruffle. 4. Every time a dancer jumps on pointe, three times her body weight is carried on the tip of her big toe. 5. Many of the costumes used are so delicate that it is impossible to wash them between performances. These costumes are hung up to air between shows and sprayed with freshener. 6. Dancers rub rosin on their pointes and flats to prevent slipping. It is a yellow crystal substance that cellists, bassists, and violinists rub on their bows to help them play
8. In very early ballets, dancers wore masks and heavy costumes that were difficult to move in. It wasn't until the 1720s, when a dancer named Marie Camargo shortened her dress above the ankles, that ballet footwork became more elaborate. 9. The five basic foot positions were devised in the 18th century by Pierre Beauchamps, ballet master to King Louis XIV of France. He created the positions so that a dancer's weight would be evenly distributed over her feet for any position of the body. 10. In Italy a male dancer is called a ballerino. In the English
speaking world, boys or men who dance classical ballet are usually referred to as (male) ballet dancers. 11. One ballet performance can take up to 5,000 hours of practice. 12. Combined, ballerinas jump 900 feet into the air during performances. 13. Initially, ballet was danced by men. 14. Ballet dancers train harder than most professional athletes. 15. Thirty-two consecutive fouettes – is a signature part incorporated into the grand pas of “Swan Lake since 1893. First performed publicly by Italian ballerina Pierina Legnani in the Cinderella. Legnani is known as an extremely gifted ballerina, and everyone who has ever danced the part of Odette since has been compared to Legnani.

Me and Money. The Psychology of Wealth I am pleased to announce that my most popular book, Me and Money: The Psychology of Wealth, is published in the United States! By Said Davlatov, www.WorldPreneur.com
In five years, over 700,000 copies of Me and Money have been sold throughout Central Asia and Russia, and it was the best-selling book according to BBC Radio in 2012. You may ask, “Why should you read Me and Money? Is it truly meant for me?” Well, let me ask you this, “Are you interested in earning more money? Are you someone who wants money to work for you? Do you want to become financially free?” If you answered yes, then this book is for you! Within the pages of Me and Money, I have hidden more than 10 secrets to financial freedom. But, it is not simply listed there for you. You must read it, learn it and only then will you truly understand it…as if created from your own thoughts! As you identify each secret, you will begin to integrate them into your daily life, creating a standard system of saving and multiplying money. The secret of wealth is not in simply making money, but in preserving (saving) and managing your money. When you are financially disciplined, you develop a systematic approach to solving financial problems. When you implement the financial system outlined in Me and Money, you gain order and control
over your financial situation. Without a proper system, disorder and chaos will control you and your expenses will increase. The financial plan outlined in Me and Money will guarantee your financial stability. As in school, the alphabet taught millions of people to read and write. In the same way, the financial plan will help you

I have received countless letters from people just like you who tell me how much this book inspired them and created a new life for them. It is my hope that one day we meet and you tell me the same!
learn to save and multiply your money. Ask yourself, “If I were to stop working now, would I be able to live comfortably and financially secure for the rest of my life?” If your answer is no, you do not yet have enough knowledge about money or money management. As of 2016, the Me and Money series consists of six books on topics such as financial and money management, business strategy, relationship development, and network marketing, with two more books awaiting publication. In addition, Said has also written a children’s book and created a workshop to develop financial literacy and entrepreneurial aspirations for children ages six to twelve. Said was born in Tajikistan. The youngest of ten children, he lost his father when he was just one year old. When Said was
eight, his mother experienced financial hardship but wanted the best for him, so she sent him to live with his mentor, who educated him on life and business, and laid the foundation of his character. These experiences shaped his life and fueled his desire to give back. After graduating from high school with honors, Said began his university education. When civil war erupted in Tajikistan, he had no time and no money to study. After quitting three institutes, he moved to Moscow to work. Said enrolled in the Princes Shcherbatov Interethnic Academy of Arts and Natural Scienc-
es (IAANS) in Moscow, where he was awarded his PhD. He also completed training with Mirzakarim Norbekov, founder of the Institute of Human Self-Healing. He began a mentorship with Bodo Schafer, a top financial consultant in Europe, and learned principles that changed his mind-set and his life. Since then, Said has trained with world-renowned entrepreneurs, businessmen, and personal development coaches Stephen Covey, Brian Tracy, Tetsuo Yasuyi, Richard Branson, and Smiljan Mori. Throughout his education and training, Said successfully launched and managed more than fifty businesses in a vari-
ety of industries, including construction, food services, retail services, manufacturing, travel and tourism, agriculture, and real estate, among others. He created SAMO, the International Center for Human Development, to help others by educating them on financial management, health and fitness, and relationship development. He organizes and teaches a variety of workshops and seminars designed to improve financial knowledge, create business strategy, enhance leadership and management techniques, as well as develop an integrative approach to body, mind, and spirit. Despite his busy schedule as a husband, father, entrepreneur, and business coach/mentor, Said continues his own self-improvement journey by investing in education and mentorships with top business and personal development coaches. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, composing, and singing.
