Mrs. Gomez!!!!

Here is one of the things that was said about the amazing Mrs. Gomez in one of her nomiation letters. Throughout my life, I never learned to play chess. People that do play, talk about how intellectual and strategic it can be. Some of the best players are able to anticipate their opponents moves in advance. Knowing the value of each chess piece, knowing how to use them, and getting the most out of them during each game. When I think of the game of chess, Principal Jennifer Gomez at Orchards Elementary comes to mind. She is a master at strategically maneuvering all of the pieces that go into a public elementary school. She has the amazing ability to form positive relationships with all stakeholders at Orchards. Her knowledge of teaching and best practices is at the highest level. She has high expectations and expects to win each day. Jennifer Gomez is the best principal (and possibly best chess player) that I know.
