Lyla Thompson!

It is my honor to nominate the Overall Leader of the Month at Orchards Elementary. From the moment this student walks through the door, you can count on them to lead in the most positive way possible. This student has a style of their own. Their personality allows them to stand out in a crowd. You can look to this student for the perfect example of what should be done. They always have something valuable to contribute to a conversation, whether it’s a strategy to solve a problem, a story from their personal life, or a witty comment. Their opinion is highly valued. This student is fun to be around. They are able to carry on meaningful conversations and are always willing to include others.

This student is very intelligent. This student always performs at a high level. This student never complains about the assignments they’re asked to complete, they always take pride in the work that they do. This student has an incredible work ethic. This student is always looking for ways to challenge themselves academically. This student demonstrates perseverance when faced with obstacles.

This student demonstrates responsibility both inside and outside of the classroom. This student is very talented as a basketball player, softball player, and as an outdoorsman. This student demonstrates talent in many ways. This student is very responsible at Orchards by being a member of the Orchards’ Newspaper Committee, Presentation Committee, and Student Council. This students’ contributions to these committees are invaluable. We are very proud to announce that Orchards Elementary’s Overall Leader of the month for the month of April is Ms. Lyla Thompson!
