Are you excited for summer break? Are you wondering what to do over the summer? Well read the article for some amazing ideas about what to do over the summer! My subtopics are: water activities, outside activities, refreshing foods and drinks.

Water Activities

In the summer it’s hot out and what is the best thing to do on a hot summer day… SWIM! Some places you can swim are: Orchards Pool, the Aquatic Center, and the Snake river. I recommend going to the river and swimming, because the water is nice and refreshing on a hot summer day! Now if you don’t want to swim, you can have a water balloon fight, a squirt gun fight, or you can run through sprinklers! Over the summer if you camp, you could go to Hells Gate or Dworshak.

Outside Activities

Do you ever have a hard time deciding what to do outside? Well you can go to the track at Sacajawea and ride a bike or scooter, you can go to your backyard or your local park and play in your yard. Some fun yard games could be; hop scotch, tag, hide and seek, corn hole, kick the can, four square, red rover, and capture the flag. Some things you can do with your family include; plant a garden, fly a kite, make a sand castle, make an obstacle course, and

Now let’s talk about some nice, refreshing foods, and drinks to have over summer break. Some foods include; watermelon, apples, bananas, hotdogs, hamburgers, steak, popcorn, s’mores, kabob, pineapple, corn, and pie, according to eat this.com. Some drinks include; lemonade, juice, water, kool aid, and milk. These foods and drinks should keep you hydrated over the summer. I do recommend having some barbecues.

Honey Bees

Buzz! Buzz! Yep, you guessed it! It’s a bee, a honey bee to be exact. Bees make a buzzing noise because of their wings.

When you spot a bee, don’t be alarmed; they play an important role like pollinating the flowers. It’s that time of year when all the bees come and do their busy work. Honey bees are insects that pollinate flowers and help the cycle of life with germination of plants. They pollinate ⅓ of our food. Some items include apples, almonds, broccoli, strawberries, cucumbers, and cotton. Without them our food supply would dwindle.

Ouch! That honey bee stung me. It hurts. They don’t just sting you to be mean, but it’s their way of defending themselves. What they don’t know is when they choose you as their victim, they soon die. Which is one less bee that we need. So don’t try to make them mad. Bees are also important because they make honey.

I like bees and think they are cute. A honey bee worker makes 1/12 of a teaspoon in her lifetime. It is said that a honey bee is the only insect that produces food eaten by men and women.

Have you ever heard of a candy critic? I am one and I eat candy a lot! I share with people my favorite candies! Does this sound like a fun job? Well it is and it is tasty.

Laffy Taffy

Have you ever wondered what the best candy in the world is? Laffy Taffy is not the best but it is the closest. (Remember, we all have our own opinions.) Laffy Taffy is another one of my favorites because when you open the wrapper, the scent comes to your nose and is so deliciously strong and I love strong sweet scents. Also, why I think you should try this candy is because it is chewy and sometimes soft. I think this candy would be the best candy to make anything out of anything.

Environment

The environment in Dairy Queen is nice, but one thing I would like to change is where the bathrooms are. The bathrooms are in a corner with a turn. One thing I like about the bathrooms is they are big. One thing I love about Dairy Queen is their seating. The seating is very big and it has a big corner with soft seating. I give the environment a 3 out of 5.

The Food

Slime Licker

Do you like slime licker or have you ever heard of them? If you haven’t, they are a bottle that has juice at the bottom and has a ball at the top where the juice is on it and it spins. But, warning. It is sour! There are so many flavors and kinds of slime lickers, such as cherry, blue raspberry, and raspberry. Also you can put other drinks in the slime licker after you finish the juice, because it is a candy that has a lid.

The only reason I come to Dairy Queen is because of the food, the food is the BEST part. In my opinion, ice cream is the best. My favorite ice cream is the Chocolate Brownie Extreme. I love it because it is so chocolaty and it has brownie and chocolate bits in it. One thing I love about the food is it is alway how you want it. If you want more brownies all you have to do is ask! I give the food a 5 out of 5 .
