Tri-State even gave out kid’s cookbooks and aprons. Every student in the whole school received one. The recipes that are included are great. Some of them are: banana sushi, apple nachos, carrot quesadillas, burrito salad bowl, and strawberry banana freeze. “My family is going to make the apple nachos at our Thanksgiving dinner,” said Katherine Crawford, a second grader. Here is a video you can see to watch how to make apple nachos with the book you have. http:// y o u t u . b e / PC6BEPNhwDYapplenachos. We are so lucky that they are sponsoring our school. Thank you so much for everything you are doing to help us, Tri-State, even in the middle of the pandemic. Every student and staff

Crossing Guards Glenda Skogrand Orchards Tribune

wanted to become a librarian? At first she wanted to be a teacher but a spot opened up and Ms. Wenzel loved it. And get this: her library teacher inspired her. The kids are her favorite part of her job. Her school was Clearwater Valley and Halloween is her favorite holiday. She grew up in Kooskia. When she was 3, her dad used to read books to her, that is why she loves books. Is there anything else you want us to know about your home life or library? “Yes, the library just got a grant which is basically a huge donation. But ours was for 2,000 dollars!”

The crossing guards are on the busy road (Thain) to help students before and after school. There are two crossing guards from Orchards taking care of students. Their names are Kathy Kester and Mallory Petrie. They work in front of A&B helping everyone cross the street safely. Mallory said “it is a scary spot.” I agree that is a very scary spot. They are there at all costs to keep you safe. No matter what they will keep you and your parents safe. Kathy and Mallory both say they like talking to people on their job. Kathy likes being outside because she was a farm girl. They want us to know that people in Lily Rodgers, Kinley Orton and the community have a responsibility Mackenna Brinkley to pay attention to the school zone Orchards Tribune people and students. We love to stay safe! Thank you Kathy and Mallory. Who would have thought we would ever be wearing masks to school every day? Well, due to COVID, that is exactly what we are doing this year? Here is some COVID safety information to help you keep yourself Jade Cox and Hailey Tiffany and other schoolmates safe: Orchards Tribune

don’t have a mask, you probably have some in your class. If not, there are some in the office. We should also use hand sanitizer coming in and out of the classrooms. Whenever you come inside from recess and before lunch, don’t forget to wash your hands. When you wash your hands, wash for at least 20 seconds to kill harmful bacteria.

In this how to article, I’m going to tell you how to get to and play the game Among Us. When you join the game Among Us, you're going to see a certain screen, and you're going to want to press the button that says “games,” click online and then you are going to see a screen that has all the games! Click on one of the games and if it says the game already started, then try to join another server. When you join a server go to the computer and when you click on it, it will let you make your character. When you first join you can pick your character’s color and a hat. You can also buy things like skins and hats and pets but you don’t have to worry about that yet. Pick your color and you don’t have to pick a hat, but when you have your character ready press the X and it’ll get you out of the screen of your character. When there’s a certain amount of people in the game the host of the server will start the game. When the host starts the game you will be picked as an imposter or crewmate- if you get crewmate then you have to do your tasks and try to vote out the imposter and avoid the imposter. You will have to look in security a couple of times because you might see the imposter vent and get rid of the cameras! When you get picked as an imposter you have to try to not get voted out when there’s an emergency meeting. If you get voted out then you’re out, so try not to get voted out and act like you're doing tasks but you're not! When you're a ghost of a crewmate, you can still do your tasks, but you can fly around through the walls! So try to find your tasks when you're the crewmate. Try this awesome game!

Roblox is an amazing game. The features of the games are amazing. Also, there’s over a million games to play and if you want to play Roblox search www.roblox.com search how to download Roblox. You can buy Roblox. Have an account? Make games and create an avatar with or without Roblox. You can buy stuff with Roblox and buy games. I recommend these games “Zombie Attack” or “Royale High.” There’s roleplays and simulators. Not to mention, it’s FREE! You don’t need to buy it. You can go on your own, but I’m always looking for new friends to play the game with!

You Should Read Wings of Fire Jade Cox Orchards Tribune You should read Wings of Fire. It is super good, and it’s so detailed I feel like I’m actually there in the world. This book is about dragons. They were raised in a cave and were stolen when they were in their eggs hatching. There is a war between dragon types. It's sort of a big book but that’s because the adventure keeps on going. There are so many books in the series so you won’t run out of books to read for a while. Also it’s one of New York’s best selling books. So if you're looking for adventure, read Wings of Fire.

The Wonky Donkey Glenda Skogard Orchards Tribune

Orchards Tribune/ Page 3

I like the book the Wonky Donkey because it is funny. It has rhyming words. It also repeats itself and is fun to read. The book is about a special donkey with a funny personality. The illustrations have a green aura around the donkey and his eye looks like he’s up to mischief. The pictures also show a little yellow bird which is his friend.

The rhyming words all end with ky. Each page will make you and your parents/ guardian laugh. There is a song that can be downloaded that matches the Wonky Donkey book. Ask your parents first for their permission to download it. www.scholastic.com/wonkydonkey. Photo Courtesy of Scholastic

Cat Ninja Kinley Orton Orchards Tribune Are you looking for a book to read? Do you like superhero kinds of books? Well, Cat Ninja is a great book for you. In this book review I’m going to tell you about the age limit, the characters, and the events in the book. Sit back and start reading. Hope you enjoy. Have you ever felt that you would like something even though it’s not your age limit? The reason I say that is because Cat Ninja has a 6-11 age limit and I think some older kids would enjoy Cat Ninja too. Here are a couple reasons why. Because some older kids don’t like big chapter books and this is a fun comic book. Another reason why is because 5-15 year olds still like ninjas and superheroes. The characters in Cat Ninja are very interesting, cool, and very brave. Cat Ninja was and still is an old house cat, but when danger comes he gets in his ninja outfit and saves the day. Sometimes when I read Cat Ninja I’ll turn the page and something exciting happens. When you think Cat Ninja is going to get hurt he always gets back up and saves the day. In this book review I told you about the age limit, the characters, and the events. All of these things will teach you that Cat Ninja is a great book for everyone. So next time you look for a superhero book don’t forget to pick up Cat Ninja.

My Pet Slime Jurnee Jones and Kinsley Brinkley Orchards Tribune Do you need a book to read? Do you like slime and pets? Well you're in luck because we have the book for you! The book is about a girl who made slime and then her grandmother gave her moon dust, but the moon dust spills on her slime and makes it come alive. But it only comes alive for her. At the same time her grandmother is also missing but that night she snuck into her fathers office to check her emails and one email said that a random person named MaLa had kidnapped her grandmother until she gave her the moon dust. She couldn’t give MaLa the moon dust cause it was in her slime so she thought that the moon dust looked like normal dust so she put dust in a bottle and planted it in her flower box. In the morning she looked in her flower box and the dust was gone so she checked her email again and it was from MaLa. It said she knew it was normal dust and would not give her grandmother back until she had her hands on it. Kinsley liked it because it talks about slime. Jurnee likes it because it has a lot of mysteries for you to solve. These might be reasons you would like this book. We challenge you to read My Pet Slime on Epic! Someone said “It is interesting and makes me want to read it over and over.” They also said they want to read all the chapters and not just chapter four. So if this book sounds fun to you, you can find it on Epic! and all the other chapters.

Zany’s Owen Schumaker Orchards Tribune Where is your favorite place to eat? Well my favorite place to go is Zany’s. It is located at 2004 19 Ave, Lewiston, ID 83501. Zany’s is a family restaurant and to me, the best! Zany’s is decorated top to bottom and there’s a train that goes around if you press a button! For food they have hamburgers, pizza, ice cream, and so much more. My favorite thing to order is the hula burger. It is a burger with ham, pineapple, beef, Swiss cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Zany’s is a great place to go when you're eating out. I rate it 10/10 because of the food, the great services, and the decorations.

Ice Skating Rink Review Michelle Parris Orchards Tribune Are you bored with nothing to do? Well, if so the Lewiston, Idaho ice skating rink is an option. The ice skating rink is located in Lewiston, ID. It is fun because you feel like you’re flying on the ice. Another thing is that if you can’t ice skate by yourself then you can get a bucket so you can balance. You can have a birthday party there and go skating with your friends. You can either bring your own skates and helmet or you could rent some there. When you get the skates don’t forget to make sure to get the right size of skates. My favorite thing to do is to go around in circles. It is fun because you can make cool imprints on the ice. In the summer time you can go there and you won’t be hot. That is why I think you should go to the ice skating rink. Photo Credit to Tripadvisor.com
