PART ONE

How action can change access to opportunities If you take action, you will be helping lots of people around the world. If you take action and you help other people, than you can help them lead a better life and one ware peoples opportunities are NOT being denied. Also, if you take action you can also help yourself gain opportunities for different jobs, colleges, and schools because you had this new experience. There are lots of different ways you can take action, for example, helping with food drives, protesting, making a PSA, donate money, visit and help, volunteer and much more. If you make a PSA you can show what the problem is and have many people view it and help out. If you volunteer, than you help the people personally. Protests are a good idea, but you would have to get a license and make sure that it doesn't get out of hand. If you do a food drive, you can get gather lots of food and help hungry people all around he world. Also if you choose empathetic action, you can put yourself in someone ELSES shoes and make a documentary about it, so people who are more wealthy can see what is going on and help out. Help take action NOW!

Circumstances that determine an individuals access to opportunities

People all around the world have different rights being accessed and denied. For example, Almost all the time Canada has clean fresh water, while Kenya does not have fresh water available at all times. We can all help by raising money and building more wells. In America almost everyone has education, while in many countries in the middle east have none, and have to work in the fields. This is bad, because children not having education is another part of the cycle of poverty. 1. no education, 2. Is not smart, 3. Is not able to go to collage or get a good job, 4. does not have money to pay the rent, get good health care, and eventually leads to death. In lots of north America, people are being protected from things like wars, invasions and disasters, while other countries do not have very good living environments.

The way peoples basic rights are granted or denied

Everyone has the right to education- Some people in different countries, Guatemala, Iraq, Pakistan etc, not everyone has a good education. • Everyone has the right to travel wherever they want- Not everyone can leave the country whenever they would like • Everyone has the right to have a nationality •

Reflection of Summative Self Assessment: I think that I did a good job on this assessment, but I think that I can work on understanding the LOL a bit more. I think I made a good paragraph about access to opportunities, but I think I still could work on understanding the question more. I found that the photos were very good and I showed them clearly.

Peer Assessment: Zoe Abbiss I thought that it was ok, but i thought you could have simplified it so that you did not have to right one whole page of words. I am going to have to boring

give you an M. I think that next time you should not right as much. KISS ( keep it simple stupid )-mr reynolds Monday, 9 June, 14
