!!!! The most important element of a story is the hero / the

character. Vladimir Propp (1895 -1970) is a Russian critic who grouped the heroes in 8 possible types: the villain; the hero; the donor (who provides an object with some magic property); the helper (who aids the hero); the princess (the reward for the hero); her father (who rewards the hero); the dispatcher (who sends the hero on his way); the false hero.
