PM detector case open source project 2017 — ongoing
for 3D printing
This project is part of an open source cooperation between creatives, originated in Germany, which primary goal is to monitor the PM 10 and 2.5 levels of the air where they live. The idea is to provide an opensource .stl model for a compact, rainproof and simple 3D printed case in order to provide a pleasant finish to a very techincal, yet domestic device.

Exercises in Glass research 2017 — ongoing
Ex. 1 low sophistication approach
It is an experimental research based upon the thesis work Furnaces and Standards. This research develops in several steps, each one considers different interactions and approaches between standards and uniqueness, and the relation that occurs between Murano glass and light. In the first example glass is treated as a semi-finished product which is not going to be treated further (except for cold cutting), instead can be assembled with other materials creating a finished object. This way the designing process focuses more on the support and the lighting appliance.

Biplano concept 2017
for self-production
As the name implies (Biplane), this lamp reminds of some of the last century aircrafts. It is a formal expedient which allows to diffuse indirect light, projecting it on an aluminum surface. The light source is mounted on the bottom wing: a LED stripe placed on the chiseled wooden board . The whole structure is suspended with two nylon strings, 2 mm thick.

Fornaci e standard graduation thesis 2016
Politecnico di Torino
Fornaci e standard: variazioni sul design del vetro 1950–2000 (“Furnaces and standards: glass design variations 1950–2000”) deals with the relationship that occurred in the past years untill nowadays between the Murano glass craftmanship and Industrial design, putting the spotlight on modular lighting systems.

Salviati packaging concept 2016
Internship 23.5 — 21.7.2016
with Riccardo Berrone, Federico Bovara, Luca Coppola, Chiara Onida
As the company was renewing its corporate image, Salviati, a historic glassworks founded in 1859 in Venice, decided to design a new serie of packagings for the decorative objects. In this solution there are two components: a fiberboard box, printed in 432 U Pantone flexography, and a sleeve made in 360 g/m2 bulk Materica clay paper by Fedrigoni. The logo is spot UV printed and finished with golden foil blocking, or in alternative die cutting the three arches. Another version, thought for limited editions and to enrich the packaging subsequently, uses different sleeves, made with marbled paper, foil blocking and embossings, plus a translucent version made with a polypropylene sheet.

Relief concept 2016
Say it with glass Verallia 1st prize with Tiziano Felizia, Marilena Lotto
Say it with glass contest for Verallia: concept of a glass packaging for mineral water. The shape of this bottle is inspired by the archetypical lines of primordial water containers, such as amphoras. An added features allow the bottle to be recognisable both visually and tactilely: the relief at the half of the bottle, beside improving the grip while pouring, marks the two different waters, sparkiling and still. The bottle is designed to contain 0,75 litres.

Ala experimental shape 2016
Turku University of Applied Sciences
Ala is an experimental shape, build as a conclusion to a serie of “thoughts of matter made by carving and manipulating wood and metal, without an initial brief, nor a project. This wing, of aeronautical inspiration, has been made assembling more than one hundred laser-cut plywood airfoil sections, each 4 mm thick, stacked together on four aluminum rods which are 3 mm in diameter.

Mondo exhibit design 2015
Politecnico di Torino
with Alessia Li Causi, Eleonora Sandre, Bruna Mendes
This project is about the re-arrangement and layout of a clothing shop in downtown Turin. The interior design has proceeded by emptying the ground floor for a more pleasant use of the space, focusing on the large shop windows, creating a scenery with lights and simple shapes: for this reason the team designed a new lighting system, the stands and the mannequins disposition, besides other architectural interventions.

Do It Together! workshop 2015
The goal of this workshop was to improve the appearance of a youth centre located in the Turin suburbs. In this project the intent was to lend the centre a stronger visibility and a recognisable identity through a sign that communicates to the neighborhood its presence and at the same time could provide a useful object to the young people who frequent the place.

Srotolo packaging 2014
Politecnico di Torino
with Alessia Li Causi, Eleonora Sandre, Tian Quin
Srotolo is a playful street-food packaging obtained by a polylaminate flexible tube packaging, heat-sealed at the bottom to provide optimal containing of food. The side of the packaging is die-cutted in order to allow the hand to reach the lower pieces of food.
Stool concept 2013
This high stool is inspired by the famous chairs designed by the Bauhaus masters during the first decades of the 20th century. The stool should be realized starting from a single chromed steel tube, bent several time to reach the final shape and provided with leather strips. This idea is of course more of a speculation, hardly implementable, but nontheless provides a good formal input for further developments.
Small chapel extemporary project 2013
Part of broader project, this small chapel is thought to fill in a green environment such as a urban park. This oratory is made by common and simple materials such as the wooden slabs which recall the sorrounding trees, maritime pines. The project has been revised, focusing on the furniture and on the natural and artificial lighting effects.

Famedio extemporary project 2012
The simple shapes which compose this monument are repeated in the space to build a path, focusing gradually the attention toward the central place. The inclined walls are physical and visual obstacles to the landscape. One must go around them to finally reach the open pentagonal square on the pond shore. It is a metaphor of the struggle many women and men had to fight in order to achieve the final freedom and democracy. The plurality of views is reprsented by the polygonal shape which offer a obstacle-free scape of the Alps.
