Ă?ndex 1. Non-renewable energy sources 2. Nuclear energy 2.1. Production 2.2. Transformation 3. Coal 3.1. Extraction 3.2. Transport 3.3. Uses

1.Non-renewable energy sources - They come from natural resources that are limmited - They are going to desapear - The regeneration is very slow - There are 4 types - We’re going to explain 2 types

2.Nuclear energy - It is released spontaneously or artificially in nuclear reactions - They use it to make thermal and mechanical energy

2.1. Production - When a heavy nucleus is split into two lighter nuclei by bombarding it with neutrons - It’s the opposite of nuclear fusion - It is possible to produce large amounts

2.1. Transformation - Nuclear power stations use fission energy - Released by the reaction heats of the water

3. Coal - Coal is light and black - Classified in: anthracite, bituminous coal, lignite and peat

3.1. Extraction - There are two methods for extracting coal: open-cast mines and underground mines

3.2. Transport - The coal is usually transported by sea, by land and by road.

3.3. Uses - It can be used for energy and other uses
