Video games are and always will be a big controversial topic. A lot of people think they invoke bad thoughts and bad habits in the people that play them. If that were so then why does the military all over they world use video games to train soldiers. Even doctors use them to increase their hand I coordination. Video games provide so much good to the world but people are blind but the negative aspects of video games and they forget about the good that they bring. They provide jobs for thousands of people, generate money through the economy, and are used to help train doctors and soldiers. With new games coming out every month, sometimes every week, they are high in demand which means they need more workers to make the games. Also because the consumers want to quality or the graphics, story, and game play to be as high as possible, that requires more workers so that all those can be met. So with the high demand for employees which in turn creates more jobs. They jobs may be harder to obtain but that gives hopefuls more to work for. So they get a better education so they can obtain the jobs they strive for. Which means more people will be going to school and bettering their own knowledge and understanding of the gaming world and what it is like to be a part of it. The video game industry also contributes so much revenue to the economy. With most new games that come out costing sixty dollars right off the back and highly anticipated games being presold at most establishments for an extra five dollars. That extra five dollars makes a big difference in the profit gain for the developers and establishments that sell the games. Not only that but big name games come out with special editions, limited editions, legendary editions, and collectors editions which are all sold for high price for a few extra goodies that come with the game. Not only that but
highly anticipated games that are only made for the Xbox 360 also have special edition consoles that come with the game and most of the extra goodies that the collectors editions or legendary editions do. These special edition consoles are sold for around four hundred dollars and hard core gamers will buy them. I myself bought the Modern Warfare 2 special edition Xbox 360 which did cost four hundred dollars. In 2009 an average of nine video games where sold every seconds and with varying prices from one dollars to the five hundred dollar plus. All that brings in a couple billion dollars every year and it grows every year.
