General Information Our Mission The Bristol Recreation Department is committed to offering life long learning opportunities through a wide range of quality recreational and performing arts activities to people of all ages.

REFUND POLICY If you are dissa sfied with a program a er the first session (class), you must submit a wri en explana‐ on to Bristol Recrea on Department prior to the second session (class) to be eligible to receive a re‐ fund. In the event of an extended illness or injury, we must be no fied immediately and we will issue a prorated refund. A medical and/or doctor explana‐ on will be required. We cannot issue refunds for trips, special events, cketed events, and no refunds are given for a single session. Refunds will be issued for programs canceled by the Bristol Recrea on De‐ partment. An administra on fee of $5.00 will be charged for all processed refunds. BACKGROUND CHECKS In order to protect the ci zens of Bristol, it is the policy of the Town of Bristol to conduct criminal background checks of all volunteers and subcontrac‐ tors providing unsupervised care or services for vul‐ nerable popula ons (youths ages 18 and under, adults with disabili es and elderly). The Bristol Rec‐ rea on Department will only select persons who are of good character and who have the skills and other qualifica ons necessary to fulfill their role.

Chips, Chips and more Chips
Just in time for the height of apple season we will learn how to make applesauce from scratch. We will also do apple taste testing and learn the difference between taste and flavor. Everyone will get to customize their own applesauce flavor and bring leftovers home. Participants will also receive recipe handouts.

Muffin Mania
In this class we will learn how to make pizza dough from scratch and then each child will get to customize their own. Pizza dough possibilities are endless - it can be turned into pizza, Stromboli, calzones or more! At the end of class we will eat what we've made and everyone will receive recipe handouts.

Swing Dance 8 Count Lindy Hop
Tai Chi for Arthritis Beginners class is a program developed by Dr. Paul Lam and promoted by the Arthritis Foundation, contains all the essential principles of Tai Chi that support the improvement of flexibility. Improved flexibility reduces stiffness and helps keep joints mobile. Stiffness causes pain; increased flexibility relieves pain. This class is offered in conjunction with CVAA. Note: There is a beginner level and a graduate class.
Swing dancing began with 8 count rhythms, yet most swing dance variations are taught with simplified 6 count rhythms. This class will not only teach a variety of 8 count move but teach you how to stay in the 8 count Lindy style comfortably. No prior experience or partner necessary. All classes are followed by an optional 1 hour Practice Session!

I agree to hold harmless the Bristol Recreation Dept., the Town of Bristol, its employees, elected officials, and any paid or volunteer staff from any and all liabilit from any injury, claims, costs, or loss of service which might be incurred by participation in said programs, activities, or events. Santa makes his calls on Wednesday Dec. 18 and Thursday Dec. 19 in the evening between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Every effort is made to call younger children first.
