Are your kids curious about all of the many different plants and animals that they find while exploring outside? Have you ever been curious about the amount of biodiversity in your community? Would your children benefit from a hands-on species identification project? A bio blitz is a community event designed to quickly compile information on biodiversity in a relatively small area. Community members of all ages participate in the events alongside trained naturalists and scientists to find and identify as many species of plants and animals as possible. A bio blitz can offer a unique hands-on learning experience that will make you more aware of the amount of biodiversity in your neighborhood and will teach how to identify new species.

Po ery for Kids After a busy day at school, come to the relaxed atmosphere of the Clay Studio. Students may choose between hand building and wheel throwing and will develop the skills of a potter while bringing their ideas into form. All work will be glazed and fired to take home. Culinary Camp

Join us for culinary camp! Cooking is an essen al life skill, and fun too! Sign up for this introductory cooking course and you’ll learn culinary basics like knife skills, cooking methods, kitchen safety and how to make healthy meal choices. We’ll do lots of taste tes ng and learning about what makes food flavorful and delicious. We will learn how to make favorites like pizza and pasta from scratch (even the cheese!). Best of all, we’ll create lots of kid‐approved dishes, great for both meals and snacks at home. This course is designed for young chefs with some experience, or those that want to learn. At the end of each class we will eat what we have created and at the end of the course par cipants will re‐ ceive a recipe book from the week which they will help to create.
