Powerful Tools For Caregivers

Food, Glorious Food!

A six week educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for their spouse, relative, friend whether at home, in a care facility or from a distance. Learn exercises for your own mental health and peace of mind, as well as listen to and share your experiences as a caregiver. The series of 6 classes meets once a week for 90 minutes.

With aisles and aisles of choices, and so many ideas about the right things to eat, knowing what and how to eat to stay healthy can be confusing. From the tradition of "food as medicine" we will question the long established food pyramid and other standards of thinking; explore the food groups, food combining, gaining a greater awareness and respect of each meal and trust in our choices. We will also discuss eating with the seasons.

Class size is limited to 6 people and preregistration is required. This class is offered free however, an optional donation of $35.00 is appreciated but not required to help defray cost of textbook.

River Camp One of our longest running and most popular camps! A week of fun and games along the beautiful New Haven River. This camp offers hiking, swimming, tubing, crafts & more! Participants should be willing to do it all. A great deal of time is spent in and around water. Ability to swim is strongly suggested. A letter will be sent home a week prior to camp with information about the week’s activities and what to bring. Instructor Matt Senecal along with his staff and lifeguards bring a summer's worth of fun in just one week. This memory making camp is in it's 14th year . It fills quickly so don't delay in registering.
