Hello.

Welcome to my bi-annual property market report for months January to June 2016 A recent survey of some 300 plus buyers has delivered some interesting insights into how we go about buying properties. Not surprisingly, 59% of the respondents said that they initially fell in love with a property purely based on its location. For those who responded in favour of location, 40% wanted easy access to transport options and infrastructure, 29% wanted convenient access to shopping and local amenities and 16% fell in love with the location because it meant living close to family and friends. With billions of dollars being pledged or invested into upgrading infrastructure throughout Brisbane we continue to be an attractive place to call home and local upgrades and changes will certainly influence the decisions of many buyers. From the Howard Smith Wharves project to the Queen’s Wharf development and the addition of the second runway at the Brisbane Airport there is plenty of talk about how all of this will impact property prices and activity.
