Hello.

Welcome to my third quarter property report. There’s a lot to love about living in the eastern suburbs of Brisbane. Sitting along the Brisbane River, Bulimba and Hawthorne provide a sprawling pocket of paradise, offering the perfect combination of village charm and contemporary elegance. A sun-soaked Australian urban lifestyle including a combination of classic cinemas, bookshops, alfresco eateries and beautifully renovated Queenslander houses. It’s a wonderful place to call home. Looking at the greater Brisbane property market, the trend lines show an increase in median property prices. It seems that the Brisbane market compared to the Sydney and Melbourne markets offer substantially more affordable property. This is intensifying demand, particularly from investors. Combine this with continuing economic improvements in Brisbane over the last 12 months, and there is an expectation that our housing market will continue solidly over the next quarter. Closer to home, the eastern suburbs of Brisbane continue to show consistent growth in the housing market. The median sales price for houses in Hawthorne, increased 53.8 per cent (five year growth), which equates to a 10.76 per cent year on year. Marginally behind Hawthorne, the sales price for houses in Bulimba increased by 42.6 per cent (5 year growth), which equates to 8.52% average per year. This is fantastic growth when compared to the greater Brisbane average which is just over 4 per cent per annum. Our prediction is that the local real estate market will end the year favourably.
