Your place in the market. 2016 Q4 Market Report | Chris Rice
Hello. Hello and welcome to my latest residential real estate report. For some, welcoming in a new year comes with equal parts trepidation and collectedness. Excitement and apprehension for what may lay ahead. Calm and contentment from the year that was. Irrespective of your circumstance, a great quote from Martin Luther King offers some perspective, “the time is always right, to do what is right.” If that means you need to talk real estate, a move – a renovation – an investment, then simply give me a call. I will help you confidently decide which way is best for you and your family.
The current market. As we launch into a new year it is hard to miss the newspaper articles and blog posts forecasting what will happen to the real estate market in 2017. There are certainly a lot of opinions, statistics and commentary out there. In fact, if you google search for it you will find about 3.8 million indexed results to read through. Now, that’s a lot of reading and if you are trying to work out if moving this year is the best for you the prospect of gathering some more market information can not only be daunting but also downright confusing. For the sake of clarity and to put it simply, the local real estate market Brisbane wide remains stable. House price growth throughout 2016 was modest but trended up throughout the year and in most suburbs, the average price of a house has increased by around six per cent each year for the last ten years. There are several reasons why Brisbane has maintained such a stable level of growth for the last decade and given the current sentiment out there with sellers, buyers, banks and politics, it is unlikely that we see a huge swing of change anytime soon.
Thanks for the great work Chris During the sale of my property in Balmoral Chris was consistent and honest in the process, he provided me with the necessary information to make an informed decision. Unfortunately the initial sale fell over but Chris was able to adjust and secure another buyer (within 3 days) which saved the purchase of my next property being subject to the sale of my Balmoral property. John, Balmoral
27 Lindsay Street, Hawthorne We sought Chris out as he had sold a number of properties on our street and in the area. We were impressed by his knowledge of the area and his approach to selling our property. We were extremely happy with the end result and would recommend Chris Rice to anyone looking to sell in the future. Sam & Duncan, Hawthorne
105 Stuart Street, Bulimba Chris was extremely professional throughout the sale of our home. He was always available no matter the time or the day and the never ending stream of questions we threw at him not only for our own sale but other houses we were interested in and general market conditions never fazed him. His calm and professional attitude towards the end of our sale (which to say the least was quite hectic!) really paid off and we acheived the result we were looking for. Thank you Chris for sticking with us and for your understanding and patience and for working tirelessly. Suz & Matt, Bulimba
