2017 Gordon Park sales by Garry Jones 100 Richmond Street, Gordon Park
You just have to look at Garry’s track record to realise what an exceptional agent he is. We had previously bought our house from Garry and his honesty and respect for both the purchaser and the vendor made us go back to him. He worked incredibly hard with integrity and his appealing persona combined with that of a skilled negotiator makes him one of a kind. Sellers: Kenneth P. & Birgitte V.
$1,305,000 MARCH
67 Gordon Street, Gordon Park
We visited many houses in our search and after we met Garry, he was the only agent in the area who stayed in touch with us regularly during our search to find the perfect home. In this highly competitive market it can be standard behaviour by agents to not give too much time to buyers, but not Garry and his team. Garry your kindness, professionalism and ethical standards are of the highest and to be admired. Buyers: John & Yvonne S.
$930,000
SEPTEMBER
13 Barron Street, Gordon Park
Garry was highly recommended to us by a close family member who had successfully sold with him recently. His ongoing advice, patience and guidance was always appreciated as were their constant updates, involving us in every step of the sale process. No request we had was too hard. Garry and his team were completely committed and dedicated to selling our house for a premium. Sellers: Paul & Rhonda M.
$915,000 AUGUST
52 Goulburn Street, Gordon Park
The result that we achieved was above what I had hoped for, I have no doubt that we would not have achieved this result if it wasn’t for your pro-active, honest and enthusiastic approach to selling. To achieve the number of pre-auction offers that we received and sell a week before auction is a credit to you. Seller: Matthew T.
$876,000 MARCH
56 Barron Street, Gordon Park
Garry treated the selling of my home as if it was his own. He is honest and reliable and was respectful of my timeframes. Gary kept in constant contact with me and managed all of the little and big things that can happen when selling a house from interstate. Seller: Josephine C.
$779,000
FEBRUARY
50 Goulburn Street, Gordon Park
Garry provided great advice in the lead-up to listing our property and ran a great campaign to build demand for multiple bidders on auction day. This achieved a brilliant final result that exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend Gary and his team for anyone thinking of selling and we will definitely use them again in the future. Sellers: Mark & Amy K.
$768,000 MAY
114 Thistle Street, Gordon Park
We engaged Garry to sell our home after a bad experience with an independent Agent. When we considered our next agent, we loved that he lived and owned in Gordon Park. He was real, straight-up and compassionate toward our situation. If I had another residential property to sell I would definitely use Garry again. Thanks for a great result! Seller: Susan W.
$710,000 JULY

Greater Brisbane Market Wrap 2017 Will Brisbane’s property market mirror that of Sydney next year? The new forecasts see the city more than double its current growth pace. These projections came off the latest SQM Boom & Bust Report. “Brisbane’s property market will experience slightly stronger gains than those posted in 2017,” said SQM housing expert Louis Christopher, “with property prices forecast to rise between 3 per cent to 7 per cent.” Good news for property owners. The latest Real Estate Institute of Queensland quarterly report shows the Brisbane local government area median house price rose 3.6 per cent over the year to June to a new high of $655,000 — up from $505,000 five years ago. That’s nearly 60 per cent higher than it was a decade ago. REIQ chief executive Antonia Mercorella said, “There is no denying the consistency of Greater Brisbane’s yearly median house price growth — we have grown steadily for about four years — which is proof that affordability combined with jobs and lifestyle are the recipe for a pretty close to perfect house market,” she said. Queensland has had some economic challenges over the last five years such as the mining downturn, but we’ve weathered that storm and others with our property prices having held up well, demonstrating the resilience of the Brisbane housing market. Forecasts point to the resources sector sprouting some green shoots and tourism becoming more robust. If you consider this, and take into account our properties are more affordable than our southern states. That’s where the potential lies. With these positive sentiments, it is likely to be a great year for property in Brisbane in 2018. Enjoy the festive season. If during the year end “down time” you find yourself planning your next move, feel free to give me a call. I will do my utmost to support you in manoeuvring within the current market.
