What’s happening in our local property market At present, we are continuing to see a high level of demand for Gordon Park homes. Demand that is originating with buyers who might have missed out on properties in the nearby suburbs of Wilston, Windsor or Grange. Or from buyers wanting to move closer to the city, leaving larger properties to the north or the west for a change of scenery and lifestyle. Regardless of where that demand has arisen from, there is no doubt that it is strong and the resulting impact on local house prices has been a 33 per cent gain in the median house price from five years ago. Which equates to an average year-on-year gain of approximately seven per cent. A result that is stronger than Brisbane as a whole. New records are being set, multiple offers are being presented and there are numerous examples throughout Gordon Park of sellers who bought only a few years ago achieving very healthy profits when they sold recently. However, it is important to note that with savvy buyers having access to lots of research, you still need to approach your sale with a purposeful and effective strategy in mind. Get it wrong and you could miss the market – miss your opportunity, or worse, undersell the family home. As a proud local since 2010 and someone who has bought and renovated – I can completely sympathise with the aspiration and sentiments of these buyers – it really is a great place to live and an even better place to call home. It helps me to explain the sometimes unseen or hidden benefits of our lovely area and that translates to potentially stronger results and shorter time frames for my sellers when they decide to sell.

I want to pass on my sincere thanks for all of your tireless work involved in selling my Gordon Park property. The result that we achieved was above what I had hoped for, I have no doubt that we would not have achieved this result if it wasn’t for your pro-active, honest and enthusiastic approach to selling. We had a couple of curve balls thrown in along the way but you were willing to look at all options and provide excellent advice. To achieve the number of pre-auction offers that we received and sell a week before auction is a credit to you. I was always kept up-to-date and never had to wonder what was going on which provided peace of mind. I would have absolutely no hesitation recommending you to anyone thinking of selling and I’m sure I will use your services again in the future. Matthew T. Seller: 52 Goulburn Street, Gordon Park.
