JOANNA GIANNIOTIS CAMP HILL MARKET REPORT

Is it time for a fresh start? There’s a joyful atmosphere in the spring. As the days grow warm, we come out of hibernation and into the sunshine, refreshed and ready to enjoy everything our beautiful river city has to offer. Traditionally, Spring has been known as the season of renewal, in every sense of the word. Gardens are rejuvenated with spring flowers, we refresh our homes with spring cleaning, and in the real estate business we see lots of action as people look to refresh their living situation. If your quest for a renewal is of grander proportions, like finding yourself a new home, then your timing is ideal. Give me a call today to disuss just how we can help you every step of the way to make your move this spring refreshing. Joanna Gianniotis 0433 168 761 jg@eplace.com.au

Perhaps you’re ready for your own renewal. Do you feel burdened by the size of your home? Is the cost and demand for maintenance becoming an issue – or do you simply feel like all that space is going to waste? These are all signs that point to a need for change: perhaps it’s time to downsize? With the recent changes to superfund contributions for Australians aged 65 and over, right now there is a huge incentive to take that leap. Here’s how it works: From 1 July 2018, Australians aged 65 years or over will be able to make non-concessional (after-tax) contributions into a super fund account (accumulation account), up to a maximum of $300,000; from the

proceeds of selling his or her home. If a couple sells their home, they can contribute up to $300,000 each. The downsizing contributions will not count towards an individual’s annual nonconcessional contributions cap. Add this to the increasing demand for older homes on large blocks of land and strong steady property values across Brisbane’s eastern suburbs, and you’ve got everything you need to move into the next stage of your life. What are you waiting for? Give me a call today to discuss your unique situation and let’s start putting a plan together to help you make the best decision.

“An investment property for over 40 years and the magnitude of the decision to finally sell their home was clearly a big one. Early on, we were in a position to sell prior to our auction but having assisted and communicated with the owner for quite some time they trusted my advice and saw the benefits of maintaining a competitive environment in order to achieve the maximum price. My role is not only to sell, but to listen and explain the process until all decision makers are comfortable and understand.”
