Auctions and a shifting market Over the last twelve months it has been a privilege for me to help so many locals move. As the most recommended agent in Sunnybank Hills (ratemyagent.com.au) and as Place’s number one auction agent across the entire group it has been interesting to witness first-hand the shifts that are occurring locally in the property market. Firstly, the market place is still performing in a consistently strong manner. While there are no wildly high gains in prices, as seen in parts of Sydney, the median price for a home in Sunnybank Hills has risen by just under 40 per cent over the last five years. The number of house sales also rose with 10.6 per cent more homes changing hands in the twelve months to July 2017. Buyer demand remains in line for with this time last year and we are recording strong attendance at both our auctions and our inspections/open homes. Despite changes to lending practices and some additional restrictions impacting foreign buying, the Chinese buyer market in Sunnybank Hills remains strong.
