Coming into the new year, it was hard to miss the articles and blog posts forecasting what will happen to the real estate market in 2017. There are certainly a lot of opinions, statistics and commentary out there. For the sake of clarity and to put it simply, the real estate market in Brisbane remains stable. House price growth throughout 2016 was modest but trended up throughout the year. In most suburbs, house prices have increased, on average, by around six per cent each year for the last ten years, with Holland Park and Holland Park West exceeding this. While this consistency offers a level of confidence, having a well thought-out plan will make your move, should you choose to make one, even more rewarding.
