CHRISTMAS SHOPPING? WE CAN HELP! Whether you give them as gifts, or use them to buy gifts, gift cards are available in the school office. Businesses sell them to the school at a reduced cost, we sell them at face value, and we keep the difference as a fundraiser. Stop by or call the office to see what we have in stock. -1-
TEACHER CHRISTMAS IDEAS: If you want to get a gift for your teacher/staff member and need some ideas, the office has a list of staff member’s drinks/snacks/etc. of choice. You are welcome to stop by and take a look. COLLECTING PONCA CITY SANTA BUCKS: First Lutheran is collecting the Santa Shops Ponca 1st tickets that are given out at participating local businesses each time you make a purchase during the Christmas season. We have over 900 tickets! If you are willing to donate yours to the school, please drop them by the school or leave them in the black mailbox in front of the administration building on or before Dec. 19. The earlier the better so that we can get them organized for the big night. THE CHESS CLUB RETURNS! The Ponca City Chess Club at First Lutheran School is back starting in January; they will meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from 4pm-5:30pm in the basement of the Early Childhood Building. We invite you to come and bring a friend! The club is open to all students in Ponca City, grades 1st through 12th. All levels of experience are welcome! The club is in need of additional adults who can play to pair up with children in attendance. 5th Grade – Mrs. Schatte: Next Tuesday, December 18, at 2:00 in our classroom is our Christmas party. Everyone is welcome. Wear your ugliest sweater. For the gift exchange, please have your socks filled and tied with a bow to school no later than Friday, December 14th. Girls bring for a girl and boys a boy. We look forward to a delightful time! Blessings to all as we near the end of 2018. Have a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
