This Friday at 6:30 in our church, we will get to see our little ones perform THE Christmas story in both word and music. Please join us. -- 1 --

We'll share a meal, read the true Christmas story, play some games (people-wrapping contest and speed-unwrapping-gifts-withmittens-contest), bake and eat some Christmas cookies, and whatever else we think of. :) Grab a friend and we'll see you there! Mrs. Harbeson: Merry Christmas! I hope you all are doing well! I love this time of the year! Our church services are awesome...the lights and decorations...the time spent with family and friends...it's all good! I do hope that we all enjoy everything the Christmas season has to offer, but I also hope that we all remember the real meaning of Christmas. Jesus was and is the ultimate gift of love. A love so great that He gave his life for us. I pray God's love and peace on us all! Congratulations to our basketball teams and cheerleaders who traveled to Kansas City this past weekend! I know you all played and cheered hard. I hope you all had a wonderful time! If you haven't visited my webpage (harbolanguage.blogspot.com) lately, you should! I've added a couple more pages at the top. One is the 8th grade AdobeSpark projects. Check out what our eighth graders have created! The other page consists of pictures of many of our middle school students doing some serious and fun reading! Students may earn 50 extra credit points towards their literature grade if they will only email me a picture of them reading outside of school. Pictures should be submitted by Tuesday, December 19 to receive points. Please submit to kristaharbeson@gmail.com. (Please do not text or FastDirect your pictures. I will only be able to accept pictures submitted to my email address.) That's all for now. I hope you have a great rest of your week! Mrs. Hanson: Only 2 weeks left in the semester! This year has zoomed by. On December 18, all classes will have a comprehensive final of all they have learned from the entire semester. We will take plenty of class time to review, but students will, of course, need to study at home. Good study materials are previous packets, tests, quizzes, and notes. With projects finished, students will be presenting their research to their class. 7th grade's rock collection is due next Wednesday. All classes will have the last vocab quiz of the year this Friday. Keep bringing non-perishables for the food pantry! This week OSU and OU compete again in a "can off". Mrs. Pacey: We are rounding off the first semester. Every class has a test soon: 1st - Monday Dec. 18th 2nd and 3rd - Monday Dec. 18th 4th and 5th - Thursday Dec. 14th 6th - Friday Dec. 15th Remember to study and do your best. You will have a chance to complete corrections before we break for Christmas. Let's finish this semester strong! Mr. Covert: We’re in the first full week of December! I pray that everyone is staying warm and keeping healthy as we start to have bugs go around. Each class is continuing onward. In 8th grade, we’re going to be looking at the series of events that led to the Civil War, with the goal of starting the Civil War in January. 7th grade is starting with South Asia, and will move onto Europe before the break if time permits. In 6th grade, we’re wrapping up our chapter on India and will move onto China, so we can hopefully start Rome once we come back from Christmas break. I pray that God continues to bless our school family as we move through Advent and remember the real Reason for the season. Blessings on your week!
