And now, it’s time for the CARDINAL SHOUTOUT; a place for us to recognize how talented and Rose Ware is a very sweet and caring person. She is a great reader and does her work neatly. William Vaughan has become a very responsible student. He stays on task to get his work done. He has made some great improvements this year! Rhett Brand is a fun-loving, energetic boy. He always has a funny story to share with us! Janie Heitman and Kaden Swords gave outstanding performances at The Little Mermaid last week! TRACK MEET MAY 4!: The yearly track meet is approaching fast. This is the time each year that we host other Lutheran Schools from Northern Oklahoma to OUR campus for a day of competition and fellowship for students in 1st grade and up. This years’ track meet will be held on Friday, May 4, and activities will be held both at PoHi’s stadium across the street and on our campus. We invite you to make plans now to attend the track meet with your kids’, cheer on all of the students, and lend a hand as we host the other schools. To volunteer to help with a specific event or activity, please contact the office or Coach Amanda. The order of events is attached to this Chatter; please cut it out and save it for next Friday. On this day, the kids will spend a lot of time outside, so be sure to send/bring sunscreen for the kids to apply during the day, and send a jacket if it is a cool morning (with their name on it of course). Our 7th graders will be running a concession stand, with the proceeds going to fund their trip to Washington D.C. next year. Be sure to send money with your student if they wish to purchase lunch or drinks/snacks at the concession stand. If you have doctor appointments scheduled that day and need to pick up your student, please come early to give us time to track down your student at their current event. Student’s will be dismissed at the end of the days’ activities, so they will be looking for a ride home around 2:00-ish. Daycare will remain open after school is dismissed. Mrs. Pacey: We are almost into the last month of school. It is hard to believe that it is already almost May! PreAlgebra has test corrections due Monday. 6th and 7th grade have tests Tuesday. Mathcounts will have their end of the year party during school NEXT Friday. Let's make it another great week. Mr. Covert: We’re just about to May! This last quarter of the school year is flying by! I hope everyone is ready to finish out the year on a strong note! Our classes are moving right along. 8th grade is wrapping up the 1920’s, and will be moving into the Great Depression next week. In 7th grade, we’ve finished South America and jumped across the Pacific to take a look at Australia. 6th grade is working through the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment, and we’ll discover how they shaped the ideas of America’s Founding Fathers. 7th grade parents, I have a quote from the hotel. I’m hoping to have a quote from the airline by Thursday, so I can have a total amount for the trip. I’m scheduling a DC meeting at 5:30 PM on Monday, April 30, in my classroom. We’ll go over the cost of the trip, I can give you the amount that your family has raised through fundraising, and we’ll talk about the itinerary for the trip. Please try to attend! I pray that God continues to bless our school family as we near the end of this school year. Blessings on your week!
