We still have a few more dates on the calendar to remember . . . Wednesday, May 17, is the middle school AR party. Mrs. Ware will be sending home permission slips on the 15th to those students who have met their 4th quarter goal. They must be returned by the 17th in order to participate in the reward afternoon! That means the last day to take AR tests is Monday, May 15. Please have all tests taken by 2:30 that day. On Thursday, May 18, the student council will be taking a field trip to the humane society. Not only will we be delivering the food and the other supplies we collected at the spring dance, we will also be taking a tour of the facility and interacting with some of the dogs and cats. A permission slip was sent home yesterday (Tuesday) for that trip. Please sign and return those to me by Tuesday, May 16. We will need a few drivers to get us there. You may stay if you'd like, but you don't have to. Just getting us there and bringing us back to school would be a great help! For all students, please be checking your fastdirect to make sure that all assignments that can still be handed in are handed in. That's all for now! Hang in there! Mrs. Hanson: Just a reminder we will be having a comprehensive final over all the content covered since January. We will review, one chapter/day, and then test on May 23. Parents! I have sent a FastDirect to each of you with an article attached that talks about a controversial show. I highly recommend you read my letter. If you have any questions please let me know! 6th Grade- We are going to wrap up work and machines so we can gain a little experience with energy before the year is up. Quiz over work and machines on Tuesday. 7th Grade- We will be moving wrapping up the atmosphere and winds so we can touch on weather. We will be using choice boards to learn about weather. Thank you so much to all the families that donated and volunteered to make the track meet concession stand a success! 8th Grade- We are going to transition right into mitosis and meiosis and hopefully touch on DNA replication and protein synthesis. Mrs. Pacey: We have only one more full week of school left! We are working on finishing strong by reviewing and expanding on important concepts. Mr. Covert: We’re down to two weeks for this school year! I hope that everyone is doing well as we get set for the stretch run. We’re doing our best to get in the important stuff before the year ends. 8th grade is starting World War II, seeing what caused the war to erupt. In 7th grade, we’re still looking at Australia, namely the history of this continent. 6th grade is taking a look at the American Revolution before moving on to the French revolution. I pray that God continues to bless this school family as we work toward the end of another year. Blessings on your week!
