CORNELL ART MUSEUM Come explore the fascinating ways technology intersects with contemporary art at the Cornell Art Museum’s new exhibition, Tech Effect, opening October 4, 2018! Twenty two national and international artists working in multiple mediums showcase the effect of technology on contemporary art. The exhibition runs through February 17, 2019, offering FREE admission for OSS members. In CAM’s Spotlight Gallery for October, {Embedded} is a must-see exhibition featuring South Florida college students utilizing technology in art. On November 10 and 11, 2018, Fall Art on the Square 2018 welcomes you to a dynamic, outdoor juried fine art show featuring original works by 65 artists from around the country. In addition, the Museum Store offers one-of-a-kind unique works by local artists So, whether you are an art collector, art enthusiast or just looking for unique holiday gifts, the CAM invites you to step in off the Avenue and experience ART in a whole new way.

PAV I L I O N Our outdoor Pavilion rocks! With music that spans all genres and is for audiences of all ages, there is something for everyone. Come join us for UNITY: The Latin Tribute to Michael Jackson, as seen on their PBS special, a combination of Michael Jackson’s timeless hits and the tropical rhythms of salsa on November 3rd. We also have Havana All-Stars “Asere!”, traveling all the way from Cuba, performing their fresh take on the island’s classic music on February 26th. This season, the eclectic mix of classic rock, soul, salsa and more will have you dancing to your favorite beat!

CORNELL ART MUSEUM SHINES THE “SPOTLIGHT” ON THE LOCAL ART SCENE In March, 2015, the Cornell Art Museum allocated one gallery, the Spotlight Gallery, dedicated to hosting feature exhibitions in conjunction with First Friday Art Walk, a Delray Beach’s Downtown Development Authority initiative, a self-guided tour and year-long event inviting visitors to explore the heart & soul of the Delray Beach art scene on the First Friday of every month. Marusca Gatto, Director of Operations, and her staff curate 12 Spotlight Gallery rotating exhibitions per year working to support nonprofit children’s groups, student and arts education groups, art scholarship organizations and other local artist groups. The Spotlight Gallery opens with a reception on the First Friday Art Walk of each month and artwork remains on view for the entire month. The Spotlight Gallery fosters connection and conversation amongst the artists themselves as well as our community allowing underserved and unseen art to be “spotlighted” and given a chance to be appreciated.
