For readers who are unfamiliar, can you explain what Dallas Market Center is?

We are a Design Center open to the trade as well as a wholesale marketplace with trade events throughout the year. For designers, we offer more than 1 million square feet of design resources, including major home furnishings brands, artists, and makers who are showcased in permanent showrooms across multiple buildings. In fact, over the last 10 years, we have added dozens of new home accent brands, global design, furniture, lighting, and more. We also offer design resources in temporary booths during our trade events. In 2022, we reimagined the design collections available during our twice-annual Total Home & Gift Market, including the debut of High Style Dallas and the launch of an antiques marketplace.

Can you explain what each DMC building houses?

The Interior Home + Design Center offers design resources as well as floral and holiday. The World Trade Center is the largest building and offers numerous design resources as well as gift, fine jewelry, and apparel/accessories. The Trade Mart offers select design resources, including accents and tabletop as well as the largest selection of lighting.

What makes Dallas Market Center unique from other trade centers?

Designers tell us our marketplace offers them a convenient, single location to discover and source a wide range of products. Major brands are represented, but we also have individual artists, found objects, global art, and more. The collections are updated weekly so there is always something new to discover. Most importantly, the staff is extremely friendly and creates strong partnerships with designers.

What support and services do you provide for exhibitors and buyers?

Our services begin with being open every day. We also have special events like the twice-annual Design Weeks, twice-annual Lightovation show, and the Total Home & Gift Markets taking place four times per year. We have a range of support services for the design community, including valet parking, an open-daily Starbucks and on-site restaurants, easy-to-use website and app, and porter service. Finally, we have team members dedicated to helping designers. That includes our VP of Design, Michael Bauer, as well as our new Lighting Concierge, Arturo Maluy, who can help with planning and new product discovery.
