Answers by Betsy Hoag, Owner and President tkoassoc.com

Give us a brief history and overview of your company.

TKO Associates, Inc. was founded in 1981 with the intent to introduce Dallas to modern European designs, concentrating on bath ware, door hardware, and other architectural elements. When we began selecting our products, we focused on excellence of design and engineering. Although the original partnership has dissolved, TKO remains committed to this principle.

How many locations do you have in the Dallas area?

TKO has one location, in the Decorative Center.

What product range do you offer, and what do you specialize in? What are some of the most sought-after lines you carry?

We offer bath hardware such as faucets, bathtubs, basins, toilets, cabinets, and sinks. We also offer door hardware, cabinet hardware, and many other architectural pieces for interior and exterior locations. We have many wonderful lines, but this list is just a small sampling: Accurate Lock, Dornbracht, Fantini, Gessi, Hamilton Sinkler, Hastings, Julien, Nest Studio, Samuel Heath, THG Paris, Vola, and Watermark.

Are you open to the public or to the trade only?

We are a trade-only showroom, but the public is welcome to visit and learn about our industry.

What upcoming trends or products are you especially excited about for 2023?

There are beautiful designs from Europe with luxurious details, including Murano glass handles in exciting colors and nods to the past in details with some designs blending Art Deco and industrial details. A wide range of metal finishes are being offered, too, such as gun metal, matte white, and platinum.

How would you describe the aesthetic of your offerings?

We are known for our modern aesthetic but offer many wonderful traditional designs as well.

What are the cornerstones of your company?

We are a small company and strive for close relationships with our clients. We listen and attempt to present products so our client’s vision can be achieved.

For someone who has never visited your store, what can they expect?

They should expect visual stimulation that leads to curiosity.
