Give us a brief history and overview of your company.
Terri Becker Designs specializes in interior and exterior design for both residential and commercial remodels, leading teams to make projects happen. We were voted Best of DFW as the Best Interior Design Firm by the Dallas Morning News in 2021. I am an ASID award-winning designer with the recognition of Houzz readers, too. Terri Becker Designs offers turnkey design services to realize a client’s vision. I strive to be a trusted guide and partner throughout the entire remodeling process, from design planning to final touches, making the process as stress-free as possible.
What is your philosophy as it pertains to the work you do?
I am a small boutique remodeling firm, so I hire out all the talent to make the project a reality. I really enjoy bringing in local artists when possible.
If you had to describe your style in three words, what would they be?
Fresh. Innovative. Bold.
Will you take on projects of any size or scope?
My sweet spot is large-scale renovations. I have done them all and enjoy certain aspects of them, but big projects are my preference.
What’s your favorite type of project to work on?
My favorite type of project is one where the client wants to go bold and make a statement. With creative license, the level of creativity feels authentic, real, and pure.
What’s one thing people often don’t understand or realize about your line of work?
The thing about design that a lot of people don’t realize is that there are so many hats you have to wear, including marriage counselor. Doing a large-scale project can be very challenging, so sometimes being the beacon of reason is half the battle in creating a space that reflects the client. Helping couples navigate it all is challenging but rewarding in the end.
What else would you like our readers to know about you?
I am so excited to be on the Board for the Dallas ASID design community! We have some fabulous projects planned with Habitat for Humanity.
