Tessellation The
tessellations were one of our first projects which introduced us into Adobe Illustration.
The tessellations also taught us how to experiment with different designs and fundamentals within the program.
Expanded Square The expanded square was also one of the first projects we did in this class which took place in Adobe Illustrator.
The expanded square taught us very important skills such as “divide” and “reflect”.
Expanded Circle The expanded circles were a more challenging project that followed after the expanded square.
The expanded circle used many similar ideas and skills with the expanded square but also taught us about the rotate tool.
Mandala’s
The Mandala Circle Composition was one of the first projects that involved color in Adobe Illustrator.
We were also introduced to an important unit in color including color swatches, fills and strokes, and learning about the color wheel.
Car Montage
The photo montage project was the first project we ever did in Adobe Photoshop. But, before we could
complete it or even get started, we had to learn a lot of photo editing skills such as making certain parts of a picture black and white or blurring out backgrounds for emphasis.
Logo
The logo project was one of our last projects in Adobe Illustrator which taught us a lot about font.
We learned which fonts complimented each other and how different fonts worked better for different ideas like advertisement.
Beverly Hills Memorial Montage
One of our last projects of the year was the Beverly Hills Centinnial
Montage project. We learnt how to put multiple images into one and make them look smoothly merged.
Earth Day The Earth Day project was a short and simple project that taught us how to make our own “world”.
This “world” is composed of one picture which is manipulated into a circular shape to create what looks like our own Earth.
Chuck Close Self Portrait
The Chuck Close Self Portrait project was my favourite project that we did this whole year.
We had to learn how to create differently textured brushes that were later used to paint ourselves in Photoshop.
