Expanded shapes- Circles Shape Unit project. You will turn in 2 Circle Expanded Shape compositions. 1) is symmetrical (bug like) 1) is radial (sun-line). This project taught me about the use of positive and negative space. When making expanded shapes I had to make sure I evened out the use of black and white.
Expanded shapes- Rectangle The Expanded Shapes assignment focuses on PositiveNegative space, implied Line and Symmetrical, Reverse Symmetrical and Radial Balance. You will build upon your increasing digital skill-set as well to complete this project.
Beverly Hills- Attractions I had a lot of fun creating this piece. To put all these images together there was a lot of cropping I needed to do. I got to explore different filters with each individual image. Using filters really helped give the illusion that all these photos belonged together rather than just placing images over each other.
Little PlanetsThis project allowed me to use skills I had learned while doing previous projects. When I first flipped the picture around to create a circle, the edges looked very “un-natural”. I explored with different tools and font the smudge tool. I stated going over the branches of the tree and blending them. This way my “little planet” would look well put together.
Typography LogoWhile completing this project I explored many different fonts. After selecting the perfect font I played around with many filters and combined some. To create the fuzzy edges I used the grain tool.
Mandala: This was probably one of the hardest projects for me. I really like how I personalized each one. I had to make sure that each mandala had a pattern on each layer.
Self PortraitCreating a self portrait made me realize how many different colors are on a single picture. This project was the most time consuming. It especially took a long time making my sweater and eyes.
