The Unreal Campaign is a consumer awareness program created by the International Trademark Association (INTA), which aims to educate young consumers (14-to-23-yearsold) about the dangers of product counterfeiting and the importance of trademarks. Amazon has been a sponsor of the Unreal Campaign over the years.
The manufacturing or sale of products that are designed to look authentic and use a trademark without permission.
Spread the message about the value of trademarks and the dangers of purchasing counterfeit products. Young consumers are an important part of e-commerce. We want them to understand the implications of purchasing counterfeit products. The Amazon and INTA partnership is a way to amplify our efforts to educate young consumers and entrepreneurs about the value of trademarks, which can help them make smart purchasing decisions.
Fake goods have negative economic, health and safety effects on us, our family, our friends, and our communities. Counterfeiting is also tied to child labor and organized crime. Young people have a tremendous opportunity to impact their world and make a difference on this issue. Say “no” to what’s unreal.

Your health and safety is important! We are excited to welcome over 22,000 attendees to DECA’s International Career Development Conference and want to promote the health and safety of everyone involved. As part of our plans to host a safe event, please follow our event requirements and recommendations below.
Please understand that everyone has a differing comfort level, and some attendees may wish to socially distance when possible. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Always cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
Monitor your health daily. Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath or other symptoms of illness. If you develop symptoms of illness, do not come to the event. If you develop symptoms while attending ICDC, stay in your hotel room and contact your advisor immediately.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has guidelines for domestic travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Scan the QR code to read more.
Follow these guidelines when at your assigned conference hotel:
• Be alert when checking in. Protect your cash and valuables by keeping them with you.
• Never say your room number loudly enough for others to overhear or give it out to anyone you do not know.
• Be sure to lock your door when you are in your room as well as when you leave.
• Call the front desk to verify any unexpected deliveries or room service.
• Do not leave your door open while you are in the room.
• Always tell your advisor where you are going.
• Do not leave your room after curfew.
• Never leave money or valuables unsecured in your room; use your hotel room’s safe.
• If you see any suspicious person or activity, notify hotel management.
• Ask the hotel for the most direct route to restaurants and shopping. Don’t wander through shortcuts.
• Don’t go out alone; travel with at least one other person. There is safety in numbers.
• Be where you are supposed to be. Delegates are required to attend all sessions and activities assigned including workshops, competitive events, committee meetings, general sessions, etc., for which they are registered.
• Always use sidewalks and crosswalks, and look both ways before crossing.

Honorary Life Membership is the highest award DECA can bestow on an individual. DECA is pleased to present a new recipient of this distinctive and deserving fellowship.
Lisa Delampan has dedicated 30 years to serving DECA members and advisors in New England as the Chartered Association Advisor for New Hampshire DECA and Maine DECA. Her unique ability to manage and promote DECA to members in multiple associations speaks to her passion and dedication to the organization’s mission. She has been instrumental in keeping the Maine and New Hampshire associations thriving and has recently been noticed for her diligent work to increase chapter involvement by 10% over pre-pandemic levels. While her leadership in DECA began in 1993, her involvement with the organization began in the 1980s as a student member of the Concord, New Hampshire DECA chapter.
In addition to serving Maine and New Hampshire, Lisa has dedicated time at the regional and international levels. Her leadership includes service as Vice Chair of the North Atlantic Region Board of Directors and two terms on the DECA Inc. Board of Directors, serving as Board President (2002-2003) and Treasurer (2004-2005, 2005-2006). Lisa has also volunteered on many DECA taskforces and committees, helping to shape the organization’s programmatic and strategic direction. For her leadership, Lisa was awarded DECA Inc.’s Outstanding Service Award in 2007. Lisa’s colleagues and peers recognize her as a dedicated and exemplary leader. She has shown unwavering support to DECA members and advisors. Her selflessness and willingness to take on new challenges have changed the lives of countless DECA members and are the qualities that define an Honorary Life Award Recipient.

These volunteers have generously shared their time and expertise to ensure a successful conference for the members of DECA. We recognize that it is impossible to list everyone who assisted, but their efforts, visible throughout the entire conference, are appreciated. Because of our volunteers, DECA members are able to demonstrate their marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, hospitality and management knowledge in a quality, competitive learning environment.

DECA extends its appreciation to the 1,000 Orlando-area business professionals who are volunteering as competitive events judges, mentors and presenters at the conference. The conference would not be possible without you.
The assistance of volunteers is critical to the successful operation of the competitive events program, the election of officers, the emerging leader series and other functions. Briefings for event directors and assistants are scheduled throughout the conference and are necessary for the success of the programs. Volunteers should check the program or app and report to the appropriate briefing session. DECA extends a special thank you to our volunteers for their continued support of and dedication to DECA and its emerging leaders and entrepreneurs.
