THE COMMUNICATION RELATIONSHIP Almost every business deal gets done because two people can have a conversation. Nearly every successful partnership is created through a communication relationship. Communication is the glue that holds a team together and simultaneously reduces friction when a team is under stress. This session focuses on the interpersonal communication relationship and its importance in getting positive results. 9:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
MARKET MADNESS In this competitive stock market simulation, some will win and others will lose. What will happen to you? Will you be able to negotiate favorable trading relationships or get left behind? Interactive, memorable and eye-opening are common ways of describing this exercise. 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
STATE OF THE INDUSTRY Hybrid and remote work... the war for talent... a possible recession... These hot topics and more are affecting business and industry today. This panel will share how their companies are working on these important issues while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
PRIORITIZATION AND TIME MANAGEMENT Time is the great equalizer - we all have the same amount every day. Yet somehow, there are people that get a lot done in a day and others that struggle to see desired results. This session will teach concepts and strategies that will help you to stay focused on what matters most and maximize your productivity. 12:00 p.m.
LUNCH
A club sandwich box lunch will be provided. We encourage you to grab your lunch and then meet up with your eduTour group, so once you’re finished, you can travel together.
1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.
EDUTOUR
Please refer to the directions provided in your registration materials for your eduTour. If your eduTour requires transportation, information on how to access Uber credits will be provided. 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
COMPETITIVE SUCCESS + CRITICAL CONVERSATIONS Whether you are in a DECA competition or in a real-world business conversation, you can get better results by using specific tools and techniques. This session will help participants sharpen their skills so they can get the winning edge over their competitors. 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
NETWORKING SOCIAL Slingshot Social Game Club Connect and network with your fellow Collegiate DECA members at Slingshot Social Game Club, a place for people to unwind and catch up with friends. Enjoy classic parlour games with a modern spin. Connect with your conference attendees for superskee, extreme duckpin, arcade games and more, including light bites and soft drinks. Dress is casual. Directions to access Uber credits to and from the venue will be provided.

CASE STUDY COMPETITION Report to the Peachtree Ballroom ahead of your assigned time to receive your Individual Case Study. For the purposes of competition at Engage, you will have 20 minutes to read the case study and prepare your solution, and you will have 10 minutes to present your solution to the judge(s), which is inclusive of time for judge questions. A personal or laptop computer/hand-held digital organizer may be used when appropriate. Students are allowed to bring reference materials to use in preparing their presentation. Students may utilize the Internet during both prep and presentation times, but the availability of Internet service is the responsibility of the students. Please dress to impress your volunteer judge.
