ECHAMPS雑誌社は、20年の 歴史があるファッション分野 を専門とした出版社で、主 に3種類の定期刊行物を発刊していま す。フランスの女性向けファッショ ン誌FIGARO（フィガロ）・フランス の権威である美容誌・そして、フラ ンスの婚活情報誌のベルギーとルク センブルク版です。 2013年に、DECHAMPS雑誌社とベ ルギーのワロン・ブリュッセル観光 局が共同で、中国語版のトラベル＆ ファッション誌第一号を出版し、好 評を博しました。その後、日本とロ シアの方達からもベルギーを訪れた 際、自国語の情報が欲しいという要 望にお応えして、2014年3月、日本語 版とロシア語版を創刊致しました。 ベルギー国内では、在ベルギー日本 国大使館・宿泊施設・スーパーマー ケット・レストランなどでお配りし ています。（無料）

MONT DES ARTS The garden of the Mont des Arts was designed by René Pechère. In front of the Convention Centre, a nine-jet fountain is the focal point of the garden. The equestrian statue of Albert I seems to guard the square surrounded by majestic buildings such as the Royal Library of Belgium, Brussels Meeting Centre and the Bozar Museum. MANNEKEN PIS Knee-high to a grasshopper, Manneken Pis has come from a simple drinking fountain to the status of Brussels’ symbol. But what’s the story behind the little peeing boy? No one knows for sure. One of the many legends tells that the little boy saved Brussels, as the city was under siege, by peeing on the fuse, attached to barrels of gunpowder, thus preventing the destruction of Brussels. Many tourists are rather surprised when they see the little boy for the first time. They wonder how something so small can be so famous. Perhaps this is one of the many examples of Belgian surrealism and humour. Manneken Pis regularly wears one of his 1000 colourful costumes, most of which have been offered by representatives of countries around the world.

ATOMIUM Unavoidable icon of Brussels and Belgium, unique creation in the history of architecture and emblematic vestige of the 1958 World Fair in Brussels, the Atomium is the most popular tourist attraction of Europe’s Capital. 102 meter-high, the structure symbolizes an iron crystal, magnified 165 billion times, referring to the power of nuclear energy. (© Atomium) CINQUANTENAIRE PARK The park was built in 1880 for the 50th anniversary of Belgium independence, under the reign of King Leopold II. The monument shelters the Cinquantenaire Museum and the Royal Museums for Art and History. Inspired by plants and flowers, form and structure, Art Nouveau style is mainly characterized by curved lines. Belgian architect Horta has shaped Brussels architecture and is considered one of the most important names in Art Nouveau architecture. Smallest Bridge in Town
Located in the north of Flanders, Bruges emerges as a commercial city in the 12th century. Its historical centre is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Churches, civil monuments and houses were built around its numerous canals, which gives the city a medieval feel. He started out with an apothecary shop, selling therapeutic candies such as guimauves and dark chocolate tablets, but the brand eventually became one of the world’s best chocolatiers. This success is partly due to Leonidas’ taste for decoration and arrangement in their shop windows. The brand offers a great variety of chocolate, so everyone can suit themselves. All their chocolates are still made in Brussels.

Venture in one of the many cafés and bars, most of them have an extensive beer menu. Most people consider that the best beer is brewed in the country’s monasteries. There are only 8 trappist beers in the world, 6 of which are Belgian. Look out for Westmalle, Westvleteren, chimay, Orval, Achel, and Rochefort if you want to sample a beer brewed by monks. Some special Belgian beers can go up to 12% alcohol content. Therefore, one must be careful when tasting these beers.
