Liebe Leserinnen, liebe Leser, was für ein Sommer! Ein nicht enden wollendes Sommermärchen, das für den an Nieselregen gewohnten Hamburger zu Weilen fast surreal wirkte – fast zu schön, um wahr zu sein.

Aber wie haben wir es genossen, lange draußen zu sitzen und irgendwann sogar zu spüren, dass der Zwang nachließ, etwas draußen machen zu müssen, nur weil die Sonne scheint.

In dieser Ausgabe wollen wir Sie in einen hoffentlich ebenso herausragenden Herbst begleiten. Wir zeigen Ihnen die schönen und neuen Dinge unserer Stadt, erzählen von Hamburger Kunst und Künstlern, von Kulinarik in Hotels und nehmen Sie mit in unsere beliebte Hanse-Nachbarstadt Lübeck.

FAIR FASHION. hey soho owes its origins to two districts, SoHo in Manhattan, New York, and SoHo in Hong Kong. These two places stand for fun and communication for people from different backgrounds who want to have a good time together. However, for Elise Seitz, owner of hey soho, SoHo stands for much more. It is part of a love story, the story of how she met her husband, in part precisely because they are both very communicative and cosmopolitan people. hey soho is fashion to have fun with, fashion that brightens the day and puts a smile on our faces.

hey soho verdankt seinen Ursprung zwei Stadtteilen, dem SoHo in New York, im Bezirk Manhattan, und und dem SoHo in Hongkong.

Diese beiden Orte stehen für Spaß und Kommunikation, für Menschen unterschiedlichster Herkunft, die zusammen eine gute Zeit haben wollen. Für Elise Seitz, Inhaberin von hey soho, steht SoHo allerdings für weitaus mehr. Es ist Teil einer Liebesgeschichte, die Geschichte, wie sie ihren Mann kennengelernt hat, gerade dadurch, dass sie beide sehr kommunikative und weltoffene Menschen sind. hey soho ist Mode, mit der man Spaß haben und die uns mit einem Lächeln auf dem Gesicht den Tag versüßen soll. PIZZA UND DESIGN Lennert Wendt machte sich schon 2012 mit dem Restaurant MEHL in der Hamburger Gastro-Szene einen Namen. Nachdem das Restaurant 2017 überraschend schließen musste, legte es nun Anfang des Jahres mit neuem Namen, neuem Standort und ähnlichem Konzept einen Neustart hin: Mit unkonventionellen, hauchdünnen Pizzen aus regionalen, biologisch und nachhaltig produzierten Produkten hat sich das HEAT den Platz in unserem Herzen zurückerobert. „HEAT ist Feuer, ist Reibung, ist Hitze, und damit lässt sich formidabel Pizza backen“, so Wendt über das neue Restaurant. Doch nicht nur das gastronomische Angebot lädt zum Verweilen ein, auch das einzigartige Design auf 200 m2 kann sich sehen lassen. Hier isst das Auge definitiv mit!

PIZZA AND DESIGN. Lennert Wendt made a name for himself on Hamburg’s gastronomic scene as early as 2012 with the restaurant MEHL. After closing suddenly in 2017, the restaurant made a new start at the beginning of the year with a new name, a new location and a similar concept: with its unconventional, wafer-thin pizzas made from regional, organically and sustainably produced products, HEAT has reclaimed its place in our hearts. ‘HEAT is all about fire, friction and heat and can be used to bake pizza in an impressive way’, says Wendt about the new restaurant. But not it’s not just the gastronomic aspect that invites visitors to linger a while, but also the unique design within the 200 m2 space. You definitely feast with your eyes here!

Es gibt einen Ort, an dem Einzelanfertigung nicht nur Luxus, sondern ein Selbstverständnis ist. Seit Herbst 2017 präsentiert ELBWOOD die exklusiven Schreibinstrumente in der Writer’s Lounge am Kaiserkai in der Hamburger Hafencity. Vis-á-vis der Elbphilharmonie können die Kunden die edlen Materialen sichten, fühlen und ihre individuelle Kombination auswählen. Wenn die Werkstatt die Werft für die Schreibinstrumente ist, dann ist die Writer’s Lounge ihr Hafen, das Tor zur Welt. Mitten im modernsten Viertel der Hansestadt präsentiert ELBWOOD-Gründer Frank Pressentin seine Handwerkskunst in unmittelbarer Nähe zum namensgebenden Fluss. Im Juni eröffnete Inhaberin Andrea ihre fröhliche, bunte Kaktus-Oase und lässt uns so an ihrer Vorliebe für das stachelige Gewächs teilhaben. Ob groß oder klein, stachelig oder doch eher glatt: hier werden die Wüstenbewohner per-

EIN HOTEL FÜR HAMBURGER Weit mehr als 300 Hotels zählt die Hansestadt.

Die meisten davon sind nicht nur Orte für Fremde, sondern auch den Hamburgern fremd. Das muss aber nicht so sein, wie man in vielen anderen Metropolen der Welt durchaus beobachten kann. Gut geführte Hotels verstehen sich dort als gemeinsamer Lebensraum von Einheimischen und ihren Gästen. Genau das will PIERDREI sein – ein Wohnzimmer für Hamburger und das Gästezimmer für seine Besucher. Ein wahres

Traumhaus, in dem Nah und Fern, Groß und Klein miteinander verschmelzen und das auch noch mitten in der Hafencity: einem Ort, der vielen Hamburgern selbst noch fremd ist, der aber längst schon zu den bedeutendsten Anziehungspunkten der Stadt gehört. GOLD MEISTER H

ip-Hop trifft auf Goldene Zwanziger! Was sich auf den ersten Blick nicht kompatibel anhört, fügt die Band Goldmeister zusammen – auf unverwechselbare Art und Weise! Auf ihrem Album „Alles Gold“ (seit 22. Juni 2018 im Handel) interpretieren Phil Ohleyer und Chris Dunker deutschsprachige Top-Hits komplett neu. Wer die Vorbilder des Duos sind und ob es für Goldmeister auch ein Leben neben der Musik gibt, darüber haben sie mit uns im Interview gesprochen.

DELUXE: Ihr Album heißt „Alles Gold“. Wie kam Ihnen die Idee, Jazz mit Hip-Hop zu kombinieren und Kult-Songs wie u. a. „Sie ist weg“ von Fanta 4 oder „Dickes B“ von Seeed neu zu erfinden?

Chris: Die Idee entstand zu Hause in meinem Herrenzimmer. Als guter Freund war Phil des Öfteren zu Besuch. Wir haben viel zusammen gesungen und ausprobiert. Da wir beide den Jazz sehr mögen, kam uns irgendwann die Idee, Hip-Hop-Songs zu verjazzen. Daraus entstand dann Goldmeister.

DELUXE: Warum heißt das Album „Alles Gold“?

Chris: Die Songs, die wir ausgewählt haben, hatten tatsächlich alle Goldstatus. Außer natürlich unser eigener Song „Ihr Tattoo“. Vielleicht kann man sowas ja irgendwann mal schaffen.

Das ist ein großer Traum.

DELUXE: Seit wann machen Sie schon gemeinsam Musik?

Chris: Phil und ich kennen uns schon länger. Bereits vor Goldmeister haben wir noch mit zwei anderen Jungs Phoenix West gemacht. Das hat uns sehr zusammen geschweißt.

INTERVIEW DELUXE: Wie haben Sie sich kennengelernt?

Chris: Damals auf einer Party über eines unserer damaligen Bandmitglieder. Da sind wir ins Gespräch gekommen und haben ziemlich schnell gemerkt, dass wir unbedingt etwas zusammen machen sollten.

DELUXE: Wer sind Ihre musikalischen Vorbilder und warum?

Chris: Frank Sinatra ist ganz sicher eines unserer Vorbilder. Für mich ist seine charakteristische Stimme der ausschlaggebende Punkt. Ich liebe diese wahnsinnige Tiefe, die sie in sich trägt. Anders ist es bei Michael Bublé. Diese einzigartige Lässigkeit, die er bei seinen Performances zeigt, ist ganz großes Kino.

DELUXE: Wie sieht Ihr Leben abseits der Musik aus?

Chris: Ich bin ein Arbeitstier. Aktuell bin ich auch noch Teil eines erfolgreichen Start-up-Unternehmens im Bereich künstlicher Intelligenz und Robotik. Mich interessieren innovative Themen. Das ist heutzutage meiner Meinung nach besonders wichtig. Damit beschäftige ich mich so lange ich kann. Wenn es am Ende gar nicht anders geht, würde ich mich immer für die Musik entscheiden.

Auch hier war es mir besonders wichtig, etwas Neues zu kreieren, das innovativ ist, in die heutige Zeit passt, aber auch noch in der Zukunft Bestand haben kann.

Phil: Ich arbeite Teilzeit als Barkeeper im Corner, ehemaliges Hate Harry, in der Schanze.

In meiner Freizeit bin ich viel mit Freunden unterwegs, gehe gern ins Theater, besuche einen der zahlreichen Clubs oder Bars und genieße einfach das Stadtleben. Für mich galt und gilt schon immer: Die Devise „Niemals ohne Musik“ heißt, dass ich auch in meiner Freizeit viel Musik mache und schreibe sowie komponiere.

DELUXE: Phil, Sie sind Wahl-Hamburger. Seit wann wohnen Sie schon in der Hansestadt und warum haben Sie sich für Hamburg entschieden?

Phil: Ich wohne nun schon seit Anfang 2011 in der Hansestadt. Ursprünglich hat es mich wegen der Musik, genauer gesagt der Teilnahme am Eventim Popkurs an der HfMT Hamburg, hierher verschlagen. Dort gründete ich meine erste „professionelle“ Band Philosoulophy. Geblieben bin ich dann in erster Linie wegen der Band, den damit neu gefundenen Freunden, wegen eines zwischenzeitlich begonnenen Master-Studiums und ganz einfach, weil Hamburg die schönste Stadt der Welt ist und die Chemie zwischen uns einfach von Anfang an gestimmt hat.

DELUXE: In welchem Stadtteil leben Sie und wo sind Ihre Lieblingsplätze?

Phil: Ich wohne in Altona, habe aber schon in einigen Stadtteilen gewohnt und erlebt, dass

INTERVIEW jedes Viertel sein eigenes Flair und einen bestimmten Reiz hat. Man fühlt sich überall sehr wohl. Meine Lieblingsorte sind jedoch ganz klar der Altonaer Balkon und der so wunderbar lange Elbstrand. Denn hier findet man immer ein ruhiges Plätzchen, wenn man nur weit genug das Falkensteiner Ufer hinuntergeht. Meine geliebte, bunte Hood, die Schanze, wo ich arbeite und fast täglich abhänge, der riesige Stadtpark, in dem ungefähr das gleiche Prinzip gilt wie am Elbstrand: Es gibt immer ein Plätzchen und auch immer noch etwas Neues zu entdecken. Für alle, die es gern etwas intimer haben, gibt es den schön verworrenen und mystischen Wohlerspark. Und zu guter Letzt – ich könnte noch stundenlang weitermachen – die Alster! Eine Kanufahrt auf der Alster kann ich nur jedem empfehlen, so sieht man Hamburg mal aus einer anderen Perspektive.

DELUXE: Und Sie Chris, konnten Sie noch nicht von Hamburg überzeugt werden?

Chris: Hamburg ist eine wahnsinnig schöne Stadt.

Ich liebe es, dort zu sein. Natürlich bin ich allein wegen der Musik oft hier. Phil und unsere Band The Ragtime Bandits kommen ja aus Hamburg.

DELUXE: Wo leben Sie aktuell?

Chris: Aktuell lebe ich in Wuppertal. Ich bin ein Mensch, der sehr viel Wert auf seine Freundschaften legt. Es wäre für mich schon ein harter Schritt, meine Freunde zurückzulassen.

DELUXE: Ihre weibliche Fan-Gemeinde ist bestimmt groß. Hatten Sie bisher diesbezüglich schon die ein oder andere heikle Situation?

Chris: Da gab es bislang noch nichts Heikles. (lacht) DELUXE: Wie sehen Ihre Zukunftspläne aus – beruflich und privat?

Chris: Meine Einstellung ist: Von nichts kommt nichts! Man sollte immer hart an sich und für seine Träume arbeiten. Gleichermaßen sollte man aber sein Leben leben und nicht in Verbissenheit geraten. Daran werde ich versuchen festzuhalten, so gut es eben geht.

ip-hop meets the Golden Twenties! Goldmeister has managed to merge what might at first seem like two incompatible styles – and in a unique way! On their album “Alles Gold” (on sale since 22 June 2018) Phil Ohleyer and Chris Dunker completely reinterpret top hits in German. During their interview, the duo talked to us about who their role models are and whether there is a life outside music for Goldmeister.

DELUXE: Your album is called “Alles Gold”.

How did you come up with the idea of combining jazz with hip-hop and reinventing cult songs such as “Sie ist weg” by Fanta 4 or “Dickes B” by Seeed?

Chris: The idea was born at home in my study. As a good friend, Phil often visited me. We sang and tried a lot of things out together. Since we both like jazz very much, the idea of jazzing up hip-hop songs came to us. And it was this that led to Goldmeister.

DELUXE: Why is the album called “Alles Gold”?

Chris: The songs we chose actually all had “gold status”. Except of course our own song “Ihr Tattoo”. Maybe our songs will be able to achieve that status one day. That’s a big dream.

DELUXE: How long have you been making music together?

Chris: Phil and I go way back. Even before Goldmeister we did “Phoenix West” with two other guys. And we formed a strong bond because of that.

DELUXE: How did you two meet?

Chris: At a party through one of our band members. We got talking and quickly realised that we should definitely do something together.

DELUXE: Who are your musical role models and why?

Chris: Frank Sinatra is definitely one of our role models. For me, his characteristic voice is the deciding factor. I love the insane depth it carries. It’s different with Michael Bublé. The unique casualness that he exhibits in his performances is great cinema.

DELUXE: What is your life outside music like?

Chris: I’m a workaholic. Currently I’m also part of a successful start-up company in the field of artificial intelligence and robotics. I’m interested in innovative topics. I think this is something that is particularly important nowadays. I’ll carry on with it for as long as I can. If there is no other way in the end, I would always choose music.

Here, too, it was particularly important to me to create something new that is innovative and suits today’s tastes but will also still have traction in the future.

Phil: I work part-time as a bartender at Corner, the former Hate Harry, in the Schanze district. In my free time I spend a lot of time with friends, go to the theatre, visit one of the many clubs or bars and simply enjoy city life. It’s always been true for me that my motto “never without music” means that I also make, write and compose a lot of music in my free time.

DELUXE: Phil, you’re a Hamburger by choice.

How long have you lived in the Hanseatic city and why did you choose Hamburg?

Phil: I have lived in the Hanseatic city since the beginning of 2011. I originally came here because of music, specifically to participate in the Eventim Pop Course at HfMT Hamburg. There, I founded my first “professional” band Philosoulophy. I stayed mainly because of the band, the new friends I made, because I then started a Master’s degree and quite simply because Hamburg is the most beautiful city in the world and the chemistry between us was just right from the beginning.

DELUXE: In which part of the city do you live and where are your favourite places?

Phil: I live in Altona, but I have already lived and experienced other parts of the city, and each district has its own flair and charm. You feel very comfortable everywhere. However, my favourite places are definitely the Altonaer Balkon and the wonderfully long Elbstrand. Because you’ll always find a quiet place if you go far enough

INTERVIEW down the Falkensteiner. My beloved, colourful neighbourhood, the area where I work and hang out almost daily, the huge Stadtpark, in which roughly the same principle applies as at the Elbstrand: there is always space and there is always something new to discover. For those who like it a bit more intimate, there is the beautifully confusing and mystical Wohlerspark. And last but not least – I could go on for hours – the Alster! I can only recommend a canoe trip on the Alster to everyone, so you can see Hamburg from a different perspective.

DELUXE: And you Chris, have you not yet been won over by Hamburg?

Chris: Hamburg is an incredibly beautiful city. I love being here. Of course, I’m often here just for the music. Phil and our band “The Ragtime Bandits” are of course from Hamburg.

DELUXE: Where do you currently live?

Currently I live in Wuppertal. I am a person who attaches great importance to his friendships. It would be a hard step for me to leave my friends behind.

DELUXE: Your female fan base must be big.

Have you ever experienced any delicate situations in this respect?

Chris: There’s never been anything tricky yet. (laughs).

DELUXE: What are your plans for the future – professionally and privately?

Chris: My attitude is: nothing comes from nothing! You should always work hard on yourself and in service of your dreams. At the same time, however, you should live your life and try not get too sucked into determination. I’ll try to hold on to that as best I can.

ie neue HAMBURG BOAT SHOW bringt der Wassersport-Gemeinschaft ein neues Branchenevent mit zahlreichen Innovationen und breiter Markenvielfalt. „Die Resonanz der Branche auf die Planung der HAMBURG BOAT SHOW ist ausgesprochen positiv. Diese motivierende Stimmung spornt uns weiter an, das Projekt mit voller Kraft durchzuziehen.“, berichtet Torsten Conradi.

Dass der Norden eine Bootsmesse braucht – daran gibt es keine Zweifel. Deshalb bringen sich Wassersportler aller Disziplinen aus Hamburg und Umgebung aktiv bei den Vorbereitungen und Planungen „ihrer“ Show mit ein. In insgesamt drei Hallen mit rund 30.000 m2 Ausstellungsfläche werden vom 17. bis 21. Oktober 2018 die neuesten Produkte, Trends und Entwicklungen präsentiert und alle Facetten des Wassersports in Szene gesetzt. Einsteiger und Profis, Surfer, Segler oder Motorbootfans: Hier kommt jeder auf seine Kosten und auch fürs Netzwerken und Feiern bleibt genügend Zeit.

Auch die Öffnungszeiten sind kundenorientiert: Die HAMBURG BOAT SHOW hat von Mittwoch bis Sonntag jeweils von 10 bis 18 Uhr geöffnet, am Freitag haben die Besucher sogar bis 20 Uhr Zeit.

Klar und übersichtlich strukturiert Vom Eingang Süd gelangen die Besucher direkt in die Halle B6, wo zwei lange Steg-Promenaden Marina-Flair verbreiten. Segel- und Motoryachten von Dehler, Elling, Galeon, Hanse, Jeanneau, Sealine, Sunbeam oder Targa und vielen mehr laden dazu ein, die Boote aus den unterschiedlichsten Perspektiven zu betrachten. Um die Stege herum gruppieren sich weitere Motor- und Segelbootstände, u. a. mit Booten von Hellwig, Dragonfly, Cranchi, Fairline, Invictus, Saffier oder Bente. Wer auf der Suche nach neuen Destinationen ist, wird bei den Charter- und Reiseanbietern fündig. Auch neutrale, kostenfreie Charter- und Törnberatung wird angeboten. Emotionale Momente lassen sich auf den Aktionsbühnen in den jeweiligen Hallen sowie auf der Showbühne erleben. Im Bereich der Maritimen Kunst kann so manches Schmuckstück erstanden werden. Die Halle B5 beherbergt die Ausrüstungs- und Zubehörbetriebe – darunter viele namhafte Segelmacher – sowie den Gemeinschaftsstand des DBSV mit vielen Mitgliedsbetrieben. Wertvolles Wissen wird in den Foren „Refit for you“ sowie „Know-how for you“ angeboten.

In Halle B7 liegt der Fokus dann auf Bootsmotoren, Motorbooten sowie der „Bretterwelt“: Bei der integrierten „Hamburg Board Show“ geht es vor allem um den Spaß im Wasser. Neben einer stehenden Welle für alle Surf-Fans lockt ein SUP-Testbecken die Abenteuerlustigen an. Auch sind hier die bekanntesten Produktlinien und Bekleidungsanbieter zu finden.

ntensive Farben und deren Komposition auf der Leinwand bestimmen das Werk von Paul Schrader. Der Farbauftrag ist so dynamisch, dass die Farben auf der Leinwand zu schweben scheinen. Starke Farben in großflächigem Auftrag, die bei näherem Blick mit zarten Tönen verschmelzen. Farbtupfer, die wie verblasste Blumen auf der Leinwand haften, eröffnen für den Betrachter neue Gedankenspielräume. Die großformatigen Werke ziehen den Betrachter in ihren Bann und karikieren zugleich durch die Malwerkzeuge Kreditkarte oder Luxusmarkenkarton den allgegenwärtigen Konsum und die Schnelligkeit unserer heutigen Gesellschaft.

Für Schrader geht es bei seiner Kunst vor allem um die visuelle Kraft der Bilder, die in einer reizüberfluteten Gesellschaft einen Moment der Ruhe schaffen: „Meine Bilder haben nicht den Anspruch, eine Wahrheit zu behaupten, sondern uns zu berühren. Mit der Komposition der Farben auf der Leinwand entsteht ein Gefühl, eine Beziehung zwischen Betrachter und Kunstwerk, losgelöst von Theorien und Wahrheiten.“ So begeistert der Maler Sammler und Kenner nicht nur in seiner Heimatstadt Hamburg, sondern von Zürich und New York bis Hongkong und Kuala Lumpur. Gerade konnte er mit Christian Lindner einen ganz besonderen Kunstliebhaber überzeugen, mit dem eines seiner Werke nun in den Bundestag einziehen wird.

For Schrader, his art is above all about the visual power of the images, which create a moment of peace in a society flooded with stimuli: ‘My paintings do not claim to assert a truth, but aim to touch us. The composition of colours on the canvas creates a feeling, a relationship between viewer and work of art that is detached from theories and truths’. The painter inspires collectors and connoisseurs not only in his home town of Hamburg, but also everywhere from Zurich and New York to Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur. And in Christian Lindner, he has just won over a very special art lover and one of his works will now move into the Bundestag with Mr Lindner.

Heiko Holzgräber: Kunst verändert den Blickwinkel auf die Welt und eröffnet uns dadurch neue Freiräume für unser persönliches und unternehmerisches Denken und Handeln.

Das große Ganze nicht aus dem Blick verlieren, gleichzeitig auch neue Wege zu gehen und Menschen zu inspirieren, auch das entspricht dem Selbstverständnis der Quirin Privatbank.

Heiko Holzgräber: Wir fördern vor allem junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit Potenzial, denen es mit großer gestalterischer Sicherheit und einer jeweils eigenen Bildsprache gelingt, den Betrachter zum Nachdenken anzuregen. Bilder, die im Kopf bleiben und Lust auf mehr machen.

All diese Merkmale treffen insbesondere auf Daniel Hörner zu.

ART PROMOTION DELUXE: Wie reagieren die Mitarbeiter und vor allem Ihre Kunden auf die wechselnden Kunstausstellungen in ihren Räumen?

Heiko Holzgräber: Die Rolle von Kunst kann gar nicht hoch genug geschätzt werden. Kunst inspiriert, lädt zum Dialog ein, sie bringt aber auch eine ganz klare Haltung, eine Position zum Ausdruck. Das ist mir persönlich sehr wichtig, denn auch wir als Quirin Privatbank stehen mit einer klaren Haltung für Transparenz, Fairness und eine gesetzlich garantierte unabhängige Beratung. Dies wird von unseren langjährigen Kunden sehr geschätzt.

DELUXE: Currently you are exhibiting art works by the artist Daniel Hörner in the rooms of the Hamburg branch. How did this happen and how do you generally choose which works of art are exhibited at your place?

Heiko Holzgräber: We particularly support young artists with potential, who succeed, with great creative confidence and their own pictorial language, in stimulating the viewer to reflect.

Pictures that stay in mind and make the viewer want more. All these characteristics apply especially to Daniel Hörner.

DELUXE: How do the employees and customers react to the changing art exhibitions in your rooms?

Heiko Holzgräber: The role of art cannot be valued highly enough. Art inspires, invites to a dialogue, but it also expresses a very clear attitude and position. This is very important to me, personally, as we as Quirin Privatbank also have a clear attitude towards transparency, fairness and a legally guaranteed independent consultation. This is very much appreciated by our long-standing customers.

For the first time, highlights of the retrospective solo exhibition of the Salzburg Museum will come to Germany. The second exhibition "Pain-

ting of the 21st Century II" shows large-format spatial views that virtually dissolve the walls and open windows through staged incidence of light where there are none.

Since 2003, Galerie Schimming has been committed to modern contemporary art and maintains close contact with aspiring and established artists. ine neue Saison – ein neuer Trainer. Der US-Amerikaner Mike Taylor ist der neue Kopf der Hamburg Towers und will seine Mannschaft in der Saison 2018/19 mit Leidenschaft und Erfahrung an die Spitze bringen.

Sie sind seit knapp zwei Monaten Headcoach bei den Hamburg Towers. Wie ist Ihr bisheriger Eindruck vom Verein?

Was ich bislang gesehen habe, gefällt mir extrem gut. Die Towers sind eine gesunde Organisation mit großartigem Potenzial. Ich genieße

es, mit meinen Kollegen aus dem Trainerstab, der sportlichen Leitung sowie den Angestellten aus der Geschäftsstelle zusammenzuarbeiten.

Wie beurteilen Sie das Team? Welchen Ansatz verfolgen Sie, um die Spieler auf und abseits des Spielfelds zu einer Mannschaft zusammenwachsen zu lassen?

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit unserer Vorbereitung.

Die Spieler arbeiten hart und wir machen kontinuierlich Fortschritte. Unsere Gegner in den Testspielen waren bewusst starke Kontrahenten, um uns direkt vor eine Prüfung zu stellen. Wie das Team auf diese Challenge reagiert hat, imponiert mir.

Es ist offensichtlich, dass alle auch privat schon eine gute Verbindung haben, das ist die Grundlage für Erfolge auf dem Court. Ich lege bei der Kaderzusammenstellung Wert darauf, gute Charaktere zu verpflichten und eine klare Rollenverteilung sowie ein verständliches System zu etablieren. Allgemein verfolge ich einen sehr positiven Ansatz, die Mannschaft soll Freude haben. Mein Motto lautet „Spaß mit Disziplin“.

Welche Art von Spielstil können die Fans erwarten?

Bei uns steht Team-Basketball offensiv wie defensiv an erster Stelle. Jeder wird sein Herz für den anderen geben, und hoffentlich wird unser Publikum mit seiner großartigen Unterstützung für den finalen Energieschub sorgen.

HAMBURG TOWERS Wie sieht Ihr Plan aus, um junge Spieler in den Profikader zu integrieren und das Jugendprogramm der Towers weiterzuentwickeln?

Unsere Talente sollen so oft es geht im ProA-Training dabei sein, damit sie erfahren, was es bedeutet, ein Zweitligaspieler zu sein. Dadurch können sie auch unsere Prinzipien und Systeme verinnerlichen, sich im Wettbewerb gegen routinierte Profis messen. Wie viel bereits erreicht wurde, lässt sich daran ablesen, dass Spieler wie Justus Hollatz und Jürgen Rich schon gut integriert sind. Es macht viel Freude, mit ihnen zu arbeiten und sie in ihrer Entwicklung positiv zu beeinflussen.

Wie können die Hamburg Towers eine Kultur im Verein und dem Stadtteil Wilhelmsburg etablieren, die auch über Ihre Zeit in Hamburg hinaus andauert?

Die Hamburg Towers haben bereits vor meiner Ankunft eine exzellente Kultur geschaffen. In fünf Jahren hat sich der Klub unfassbar positiv entwickelt. Dazu hat jeder beigetragen, der in dieser Zeit am Aufbau des Vereins beteiligt war. Ich bin beeindruckt, welchen Einfluss die Projekte der Towers und von Sport ohne Grenzen in Wilhelmsburg haben. Das Jugendprogramm und die Schul-AGs sind exzellent. Mein Fokus liegt darauf, das Maximum aus unserem ProA-Team herauszuholen und dadurch dazu beizutragen, dass die Organisation den nächsten Schritt gehen kann. Wir wollen Hamburg zu einer Basketball-Stadt machen.

Ich glaube, der wichtigste Punkt ist der, sich darauf zu fokussieren, das Maximum aus unserem Team herauszuholen. Wir setzen uns hohe Ziele und sind uns der gewaltigen Erwartungen bewusst, aber wir können nicht jeden Aspekt selbst

kontrollieren, der zum Aufstieg führt. Was wir beeinflussen können: unseren Fokus zu behalten und täglich hart zu arbeiten. Partie für Partie, Runde für Runde können wir uns das Recht erkämpfen, um die ProA-Meisterschaft zu spielen.

Was ich garantieren kann: Unsere Fans werden sehen, dass wir niemals aufgeben und bis in den Mai hinein spielen wollen.

Mit einem Wort: gigantisch. Ich liebe meine Familie und sie steht an erster Stelle für mich. Es ist wundervoll, das komplette Jahr zusammen zu wohnen, vor allem in so einer schönen Stadt bei einem herausragenden Arbeitgeber. Am meisten liebe ich es, wenn ich Lukie mit zum Training nehme und er das Team kennenlernt. So wie es mein Vater früher mit mir gemacht hat.

Wie gehen Sie mit Krisen um? Und was macht Sie sicher, dass auch das Team eine negative Phase in der Saison überstehen wird – sofern es eine geben wird?

Coaching beruht auf vielen Aspekten. Einer davon ist Menschenführung. In der Preseason haben wir daran gearbeitet, persönliche Beziehungen zu bilden, die durch die Höhen und Tiefen einer Saison hindurch bestehen. Aus Niederlagen gilt es, die richtigen Schlüsse zu ziehen, aus Siegen ebenso. Es ist wichtig, ein positives Umfeld zu schaffen, in dem wir Spaß haben und uns gegenseitig unterstützen. Wie in einer Ehe, wo es heißt: in guten wie in schlechten Zeiten.

Was hat die Taylor-Familie bislang in Hamburg erlebt?

Wir waren schon mehrfach in der Innenstadt zum Essen. Alice hat einen spitzenmäßigen Kindergarten für Luke gefunden. Wir müssen Hamburg aber unbedingt noch viel besser kennenlernen, es gibt so viel zu sehen.

Sie sind ein Familienmensch. Ihre Frau Alice und Ihr Sohn Luke sind ebenfalls zu Ihnen nach Hamburg gezogen. Wie groß ist ihr Einfluss auf Ihr Leben und Ihre Arbeit?

"Ich bin beeindruckt, welchen Einfluss die Projekte der Towers und von Sport ohne Grenzen in Wilhelmsburg haben."

Eines Tages wird Luke erwachsen sein. Auf welche Charakter-Eigenschaft, die er dann von Ihnen übernommen hat, wären Sie besonders stolz?

Wenn er eine positive, optimistische Einstellung gegenüber anderen Menschen und dem Leben hat.

A new season – a new coach. The US-American Mike Taylor is the new head of the Hamburg Towers and wants to take his team in the 2018/19 season to the top with passion and experience.

You have been head coach of Hamburg Towers for almost two months now. What is your current impression of the club?

I extremely like what I have seen so far. The Towers are a healthy organization with great potential. I enjoy working together with my colleagues of the coaching staff, the sports management and the employees from the office.

How do you rate the team? Which approach do you take to make the players grow together to one team on and off the field?

I am very pleased with our preparation. Players are working hard and we are continuously

HAMBURG TOWERS making progress. Our opponents in the test games were deliberately strong opponents to take us straight to a test. How the team reacted to this challenge, impresses me. It's obvious that all of them already have a good private connection, which is the basis for success on the court.

When it comes to squad composition it is important to me to have good characters, a clear division of roles and to establish an understandable system. In general, I have a very positive approach to let the team have fun. My motto is "fun with discipline".

What kind of playing style can fans expect?

For us, team basketball comes first, both offensively and defensively. Everyone will give his heart for the other, and hopefully our audience will take care of the final energy boost with its great support.

What's your plan to integrate young players into the professional cadres and etend the youth program of the Towers?

Our talents should be trained as often as possible in the ProA-training so they know what it means, to be a second-league player. This enables them to internalize our principles and systems, to compete against sophisticated professionals.

How much has been achieved so far can be seen from the fact that players as Justus Hollatz and JĂźrgen Rich are well integrated, already. It's a pleasure to work with them and to make a positive contribution to their development.

How can the Hamburg Towers create a culture in the association and the district of Wilhelmsburg, which will continue beyond your time in Hamburg?

The Hamburg Towers have already created an excellent culture before my arrival. In five years the club has developed incredibly positive. Everyone who was involved in the development of the association has contributed to this. I am impressed by the impact the projects of the Towers and "Sport ohne Grenzen" (sport without borders) have in Wilhelmsburg. The youth program

My focus is to get the maximum from our ProA-Team and thereby contribute to enable the organization to take the next step. We want to make Hamburg a city of basketball.

No one can guarantee promotion – but which steps must be climbed in order to get into the direction of championship, and is there something you can guarantee?

I think the most important point is to focus on getting out the maximum of our team. We set ourselves high goals and we are aware of the enormous expectations, but we can't control every aspect ourselves that leads to promotion.

What we can influence: to keep our focus and to work hard every day. Game by game, round after round we can fight for our right to play the ProA championship. What I can guarantee: Our fans will see that we never give up and want to play into May. How do you deal with crises? And what makes you be sure that the team will also survive a negative phase in the season - given that there will be one?

Coaching is based on many aspects. One of them is leadership. In the preseason we've been working on establishing personal relationships which stay throughout the ups and downs of a season. From defeats the right conclusions must

be drawn, from victories as well. It is important to have a positive environment in which we have fun and support each other. Like in a marriage, for better or for worse.

You're a family man. Your wife Alice and your son Luke moved to Hamburg, too. How great is their influence on your life and work?

In one word: gigantic. I love my family and it always comes first for me. It is wonderful to spend the whole year together, especially in such a beautiful city, for an outstanding employer. I love it most when I take Lukie with me to practice and he meets the team - like my father used to do it with me.

What has the Taylor family experienced in Hamburg so far?

We've been downtown several times for dinner.

Alice found a top-notch kindergarten for Luke.

But we need to get to know Hamburg a lot better, there's so much to see.

One day Luke will grow up. Of which character trait, he then took over from you, would you be particularly proud?

If he has a positive, optimistic attitude towards other people and life.

reativity is particularly rewarded in Lübeck and so it comes as no surprise that the idea by caterer Clemens Dietrich was very well received. He had the igniting gift idea for the city anniversary: He created a new gin variety, the "KöniGIN der Hanse" (queen of the Hanseatic League) and her husband "Hans", a marzipan liqueur. To taste in the bar "Dietrich's" at the Untertrave and for sale at the tourist info at Holstentor square!

s ist Zeit zurückzublicken: Die Ausstellung „875 Jahre – Lübeck erzählt uns was“ zeichnet mit 100 einzigartigen und manchmal wundersamen Objekten aus den reichen Lübecker Sammlungen ein beeindruckendes Bild der Stadtgeschichte. So erzählt zum Beispiel die Schreibmaschine von Willy Brandt aus dem 20.

Jahrhundert, als auf ihr Flugblätter gegen das Nazi-Regime verfasst und dadurch Widerstand geleistet wurde. Wer dieser und anderen Geschichten aus 875 Jahren auf den Grund gehen will, dem stehen ab dem 09. September die Türen des Museumsquartiers St. Annen und des Europäischen Hansemuseums offen. igens zum Geburtstag der Hansestadt wurde die Reihe „Lübeck im Film“ entwickelt, die das gesamte Jahr über an außergewöhnlichen Orten und z.T. Originalschauplätzen bewegte Bilder mit Lübeck-Bezug zeigt. Im Oktober und November feiern die Nordischen Filmtage, der wohl bedeutendste Treffpunkt des nordeuropäischen Kinos, ihren eigenen Geburtstag, nämlich den 60.

Beide begrüßen die Aktivitäten der jungen Turfs und werden künftig unterstützend zur Seite stehen – klingt gut.
