“Letting Go Of The Past”

I

f you have any of our past issues you will notice we are making more changes to the design. The change is part of a facelift we initiated across all of our titles. On the other hand if this is your first issue, we thank you for joining us. August is the month that signals the end of summer, and the beginning of a new term for many students. It ushers in Football, state fairs and product model year changes. We at Denovo are taking advantage of August to make our own changes and we have even changed this month’s line up to give you an “All Editorial Issue” which we may do annually. Please feel free to email us at info@denovomag.com and let us know what you think. Enjoy issue 13

SIGNS

Happy Birthday LEO You’ll be at your very best as the August 6 New Moon lights up your sign birthday Leos. And this New Moon will affect the other fire signs of Aries and Sagittarius, while also sending some good news the way of air signs – Libra, Aquarius and Gemini. The 2nd in a row Full Moon in Aquarius is a bonus for those Aquarians and other air signs – Gemini’s and Librans who want to get something finalized, over and done with. 2 Full moons in a year is not unusual however it does mean that you could redo and revisit something you had thought was over and done with. Leos too – relationship wise – maybe you thought you and your ex were definitely exes – and then reconciled and am now floundering in a sense of ‘what is going on?’. Straight talk is the best talk for those of you who are confused about the status of your relationship and need clarification.

August brings with it a repeat performance of a Full Moon in Aquarius, your solar 4th house of home and family on the 20th. Once again you are being asked to participate in some sort of family matter that might be way overwhelming for you but which has to be worked out. However unlike last month’s Full Moon which applied way too much pressure on you and made many of you retreat into your Scorpio retreat, this Full Moon on the 20th favours upbeat family and domestic activities. This makes August a great choice if you want to host a casual dinner for a few close friends to take advantage of the last days of summer. You’ll also have the energy and incentive to zip through all those household projects you intended to do earlier this year.

Venus the goddess of love and beauty spends half the month in your sign, through the 17th. Which is great for those of you looking for love – even if it is in all the wrong places. For those of you looking, Cancers are great matches for you, as are the usual suspects Taureans and Capricorns. Your powers of attraction are at their finest with Venus in your sign but be careful what and whom you wish for. You might just get it! Turn on the charm and let the magic happen. Your lucky streak continues on the 23rd, when Mercury your ruler advances into your sign. Stay tuned for good news near the 30th. Buy a lotto ticket with a Pisces if possible The New Moon in Leo your solar 12th house August 6 gives you a much needed chance to catch up on rest, sleep and relaxation before a busy period at work. This New Moon will also enhance your 6th sense which will prompt you to revisit the past as you look forward toward the future.

Travel could be in your forecast this month with the New Moon on the 6th activating your wanderlust. For those of you home bound and unable to jump on the next flight somewhere fab, education is another way of using this New Moon energy. If you are stuck in a rut career wise or still finding your way, why not look up what courses are being offered online and see if any of them appeal? Your career visibility is actually on the upswing with Venus the charmer in your 10th house through the 15th. As much as you may despise a coworker, it’s worth covering up your hatred with kindness, sincerity and interest in their mundane lives if it means you get what you need from them. Mercury the planet of communication moves into your career zone on the 23rd and you can make powerful inroads towards the future and the rest of 2013. If you’re job hunting, don’t be tempted to exaggerate your skills and experience. Stick to the facts. You will be caught out!

Your intuition will be right on target this month as Mercury travels in Virgo, your solar 12th house from the 23rd on. Set aside a few minutes each day for meditation, which will help to free your subconscious and your 6th sense. You might even want to keep a journal of your impressions so you can refer to them later. Make sure you keep a notebook next to your bed so you can jot down any significant thoughts or dreams that you have and hopefully remember. Look for a pattern of some kind and if you keep dreaming about the same person, reach out to them and check in on them. With your ruler Venus in your sign from the 16th on, you’ll be the key component in conflict resolution when a challenging Jupiter– Uranus–Pluto alignment sparks tempers.

August runs hot and cold for you goats, with Mercury in Cancer your relationship zone the first week of August but then having to deal with Mars the agitator in the same zone through the 26th could have you feeling as if you’re ‘damned if you do and damned if you don’t. Short tempers could flare – particularly with snarky family members. If you know already with whom you are going to tussle, avoid them like the plague as much as you can. At issue mainly will be your desire to change but try not to make any hasty or rash decisions. Do that and you could regret it, with no way to reverse your impulsive action. Vacation planning is perfect for the Sun, Mercury and Venus transiting Virgo, your solar 9th house at various times this month.

AUGUST The August 6 New Moon in Leo, your solar 7th house accents partnerships and other close relationships. Although there’s still potential this month for challenges with coworkers or supervisors, you’ll be on the same wavelength with pretty much everyone else around you. Couples will delight in together time. If you’re in a serious relationship, this lunar energy could very well trigger an important decision about your future together (or not together). August has the potential for financial gains thanks to Venus in Virgo, your solar 8th house through the 15th and communications Mercury in the same sign from the 23rd on. Continue to be cautious with your money and especially about major financial decisions and purchases. It might be better to wait a while if you are thinking of a new car or moving or even a new couch/TV.

Home is where the heart is and most likely where you will want to be early August, with a New Moon August 6 shining on your 4th house of home and family. With Mercury in the same part of your chart, August 8–23, it’s a great time to organize paperwork, declutter and plan home improvement DIY stuff. Or even just clearing out the garage or that spare room that never seems to be anything but a junk room. Having friends and family over for a BBQ or a wine tasting night are also things you might feel like doing early in the month. Your tenth house of career and ambition is highlighted by the Full Moon again this month. Second time around the Full Moon in Aquarius will be extremely positive for you and you’ll want to make the most of the 2 weeks following the 20th

Your solar 7th house is in focus this month, with Venus in Virgo through the 15th and Mercury in Virgo from the 23rd onwards. You’ll easily connect with people in every area of life, but be a little cautious the last week of August when someone could stretch the truth or tell you just what you want to hear…when you are desperate to hear it. Your partner and loved ones are the main focus here, making this an opportune time to share your thoughts and feelings. You are often overly emotional about things being a water sign and if dealing with an earth or air sign, you can’t expect those feelings to be rescinded – or you hug it out or cry it out or get drunk of cheap booze and pass out…it will have to be talked through thoroughly Lucky for you Mercury the communicator is in Cancer through the 9th and with Mars in Cancer through the 29th, the first part of the month is an ideal time to get all that crap out of the way.

August will bring with it a 2nd Full Moon in Aquarius your solar 9th house of overseas journies, higher education and spiritual encounters. Unlike July’s Full Moon in the same zone of your chart however, this Full Moon is much calmer and friendlier – and this one favours travel. Passport current?? Visas up to date? R U ready to go on the trip of a lifetime?? Or at least plan the trip of a lifetime? This is the time to do so Gemini’s. Plan a vacation for a long weekend away if nothing else. You need to satisfy your need for fresh scenery as the lunar energy triggers your spirit of adventure. You could also take a few day trips to explore your city or the surrounding countryside. As a Gemini you’ll appreciate this months’ New Moon on the 6th in Leo, your solar 3rd house of communication. Touch base with friends, relatives and neighbours and get together with as many as you can. A friends’ words could inspire you mid–month, but a talk with a coworker could upset your day near the 11th. Think calm thoughts.

The New Moon in Leo your solar 5th house of romance, creativity and self– fulfillment August 6 sets the tone for the rest of the month. It’s also a great time to go camping or grab a online special for a long weekend at a spa – just you and your honey or bff. You’ll have as much fun as your friends and the time together will be memorable. This New Moon also favours romance and for single Rams could bring a new love interest your way. Pursuing him or her is a sport for you so enjoy! Leos and Aquarians are your best love matches in August. If you’re committed and can’t get away for a few days, plan a romantic night out August 6.Like last month, August features a Full Moon in Aquarius, your solar 11th house of hopes, wishes and friendship on August 20. However unlike last month, this Full Moon is much easier and less traumatic last month.

Give yourself the gift of a few days off this month. Venus in Virgo your solar 3rd house through the 15th and Mercury in the same sign from the 23rd on are all the reason you need to plan several days at a nearby destination or even a few day trips. Either one will refresh you, body mind and soul and give you a togetherness opportunity with friends or family. You’ll experience almost every facet of relationships this month under a variety of planetary alignments from Mercury which zips through 3 signs this month – Cancer, Leo and Virgo. You can use these influences to help teach your children good financial skills, to connect with relatives and to strengthen ties with coworkers. But be aware that some people will try to withhold information or only tell you what you want to hear.
