editor’s desk “The love of liberty brought us here”
J
ohn Adams once complained in a letter that America seemed uninterested in its past. Since our great nation is officially 237 years old I thought it would be interesting to give you a few cool facts to prove that is no longer true. The United Sates in its early years had many influential presidents; however three stand out as truly unique. Those three are John Adams the 2nd president, Thomas Jefferson the 3rd who both actually sign the Declaration of Independence and James Monroe our 5th. All three died on what is now celebrated as our national day of independence July 4th and all three were very instrumental in contributing to the birth of this great nation. James Monroe however went the extra mile and played a key role in the creation of what is Africa’s oldest republic, Liberia who’s Motto I used to start this article. Now you may ask how does this tie back to Vanidoso? Well it’s because our staff truly loves the rich history of the Fashion and Beauty industry. In short “it’s because the love brought us here” Enjoy Issue 2.
