Welcome to the official newsletter of the Department of Theology & Culture, College University “Logos”
This is the first volume of the official newsletter of the Department of Theology & Culture. The first day of every month you may receive a newsletter edition with all our news, activities and educational developments. This first newsletter is dedicated to a short presentation of our study programs (1 Bachelor, 2 Masters, 2 summer schools). The newsletter is interactive, since all the icons of the edition are active links and there are also QR codes for you to scan. Our goal with this new edition is to create a community of people of all ages that show an interest on Theology, Religious Studies, Religious Tourism and the Orthodox Church of Albania.
Study Programs
Bachelor: The Bachelor in Social Theology & Science of Religion aims to offer high level education in the scientific field of Theology as well as in the study of religion and culture. The main objective is to prepare theology professors, theologically trained clergy to serve the Church, executives who can offer social work in cultural or ecclesiastical offices, scientists able to both studying Christian and especially Orthodox Theology and more generally the diversity of the religious phenomenon. The admission requirements for the students are an average grade of 6,5 GPA that is calculated from the high school diploma and the national exams. For more info, click on the 1st icon.
Master of Science: The goal of the Master of Science in Religious Tourism is to provide high quality specialized knowledge and to train high level staff, which will be ready to realize the interdisciplinary approach of tourism, to keep notice on the development of the sector of tourism, to transform innovation to business action and to contribute to the research on the theoretical and practical areas of the science of tourism. In the Master Program are admitted students, first degree holders of Higher Education Institutions (Universities) of the country and foreign Institutions, of all university faculties, who in addition must be fluent in English (level B1 and higher). Professional Master: The Professional Master in Social & Practical Theology aims to give participants the necessary skills for sociological research and the practical application of the values of Social Theology to address and prevent issues with the coexistence of religious communities and social peace. The graduates of this program may continue their master studies in foreign universities (for example Greece) In the Master Program are admitted students, first degree holders of Higher Education Institutions (Universities) of the country and foreign Institutions, of all university faculties, who in addition must be fluent in English (level B1 and higher). Summer school (high school): High school students aged 15 to 18 can spend for free a week from 10-13 July 2023 in Saint Vlassios, Durrës, where they will have the opportunity to explore a range of university-level courses in Theology and live and learn along with a diverse peer group. Summer school (university): Bachelor's or Master's level university students, as well as graduates, can participate for free in a summer school on July 17-22, 2023 in the premises of the "Logos" University College in Tirana and in the Monastery of Saint Vlassios where they can get to learn about religious studies and religious tourism and also be trained as tour guides by Elite Travel Group, one of the most popular Travel Agencies in Albania.
